  • And now following the crash, Martin has been declared injured once again with "six fractured ribs and a collapsed lung". https://www.instagram.com/p/DIayDN8KaxF/

Extremely surprised with Marquez brothers starting at 1 and 2! o

Not bad for Quartararo and Yamaha completing the front row and Vinales being at 6th. They both were former winners at Lusail so good luck for them.

Dixon crashes and loses his Moto2 championship leader.

That's an insane L1 from Morbido.

Marc clearly needs a deus-ex-machina to win now after his brother hit one of his rear wings.

  • Author

Now Alex has a clash with Diggia (incoming community war indeed lol) and both bikes seemed to have some light damage.

Well, apparently a broken rear wing doesn't make Marc any slower and he's still playing with his opponents. Nice try though for Mack, he's pushing that scooter to the leading group.

That was an inspired ride from BatMav, splitting the 2 Ducatis is mega impressive.

First big error from Marquez Jr but still salvages an OK result.

And poor Martin straight back into the wars :(

Wait hell no! 😭

Meanwhile at WorldSBK, our potential new world champion got DNF in both Superpole Race and Race 2 for the same technical issue ig. Same manufacturer, different fate.

  • 2 weeks later...

Quartararo and Yamaha starts from pole ahead of our main character!

Should I be surprised with the sprint?

Happy for Quartararo and Yamaha returning to the podium, though we should thank concession rules. Nonetheless a podium is a podium.

Yeah, i just can feel what it is like to be Alex Marquez. 6 years in the premier class riding under the pressure of the Marquez surname, being described that "He's no Marc" (Guerinoni, 2023). Alex could've got at least a win in 2020 at Aragon, but Suzuki was too strong that year and Rins outperformed him easily. Well done to Alex. I hope he keep this year interesting and not too one-sided.

One of the legendary 2-stroke MotoGP rider Nobuatsu Aoki (🥉 in 500cc 2-1997) predicts that Ducati will share the same fate as 2018-present Honda, saying that Ducati will be rideable only to Marc.

MotoGP, Nobuatsu Aoki: "Marquez could be detrimental to Ducati"

"Marc is able to get 120% out of the bike and, from a future perspective, this could influence the development of the Desmosedici by cutting off all the other riders, starting with Bagnaia."

He was one of the leading figures in the cremier Class of MotoGP in the 1990s, to the extent that he finished third in 1997 behind a 500-class giant like Mick Doohan and also Tadayuki Okada. Nobuatsu Aoki has long been merely a knowledgeable spectator and, as such, has acknowledged marc Marquez's supremacy. Marc is, at this time, in a state of grace after the all the difficulties he encountered since his injury in Jerez in 2020.

"It's like seeing the Marc of the Honda era again. He possesses exceptional riding skills, The reason why can make any bike perform in an incredible manner. His real talent lies in being able to ride beyond the inherent potential of the bike he has at his disposal," he stated, as reported by AS.

According to Aoki, the GP25 isn't at the same level as the GP24. "The deficit is mainly in engine braking, since the current Desmosedici has drastically reduced the loss of friction. Bagnaia seems to suffer most from this change, which is why he'd like to return to the previous bike, but he's in a complicated situation," he explained.

And this is where the 32-year-old from Cervera could, in the long run, play a bad trick on the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer.

"At first glance, what he's managing to do is fantastic. However, when you take the bike to one-hundred-and-twenty percent of its capabilities, you risk making the engineers lose direction, like what happened with the RC213V. The risk is that you make it impossible to understand how much the vehicle can do at one hundred percent. In fact, a bike was created in HRC that could only be ridden by someone at one-hundred-and-twenty percent, and that was Marquez," he emphasized.

For now, they seem to have averted this scenario, but 2026 remains an unknown.

"Today's Ducati is versatile, and anyone can ride it. But, next year, everything could change. Since the Iberian is achieving certain results, the engineers might think it's the best version of the Desmosedici and complicate life for Pecco and the satellite teams," he concluded.

Another victory for Bulega in Cremona. Probably be watching Race 2 tomorrow as I'm not familiar with the circuit at all.
