You were quoted as saying on Entertainment Weekly that you're going to call up Mariah Carey and ask her to ... mentor the kids and sing on the show. Is that going to happen?

I don't know. I've been thinking about it. We've tossed it around a bit. I think she'd be great because, for me, she and Whitney and Celine are the three great divas, I mean some of the better singers of our time.

 

Have you talked with Mariah about it?

I mentioned it to her. We'll see. You've got to stay tuned on that one.

Yes. I mean, definitely. So we'll see what happens.

I hope she goes on it, remember when she was on Fame Academy a few years ago and gave them singing lessons and stuff, she was amazing on it and she done something like this but the French version of it I think last year... PLEASE DO AMERICAN IDOL MARIAH :D

mariah actually was 3 or 4 times on star academy in france but that also didn't help her albums sales there..(and she always sang LIVE there and therefore france is the only european country where mariah sings live outside the US since CB Tour)
