Here's a copy of the e-mail I and others have been sending out to complain! 'I would like to put a complaint forward about a housemate - Jo O'Meara. Who seems to be suffering badly from an extremely unfair portrail from Big Brother. A lot of people know Jo personally and what she is like in the outside world and I am very concerned with her in the house. It seems she is being heavily influenced by two other housemates in particular, Jade and Danielle. Jo seems to be trying hard to be everyones friend as there is nothing she hates more than conflict, however because of this she is being seen as part of a 'gang' who are making racial and bully-like comments. I have seen Jo stick up for Shilpa, but also be dragged into Jade and Danielles bitching conversations, in which she doesnt seem to say anything (to avoid conflict with them) except look as though she is agreeing. She is now being seen as part of this gang by the outside world and this really is just not her! Alot of this is also due to BB's horrific editing in which they seem to only want to show the bad of Jo and have missed out on showing countless good, fun times. This is affecting peoples views on Jo. As for recent events where she has been accused of impersonating Shilpa Shetty. I saw all this in full on live feed and it was all in good humour with Shilpa herself. It was not done nastily behind her back and Shilpa was not fazed by it at all. Lastly, I do not condone the recent comment said by Jo, as it was extremely out of character for her and she does not seem to realise what she has said and the impact it can have. People close to Jo have admitted it is very unlike her and can see she has been heavily influenced and definatly spoke before thinking. If BB were fair on their editing of Jo and showed her positive comments, laughter, and entertainment and got rid of Jade Goody and Danielle -to avoid Jo being dragged in to any of their petty little sessions- I guarantee you WILL see the real genuine Jo. I just hope for her sake she manages to pull away from this group.'

Jo is responsible for her own actions and is a fully grown woman she is fully capable of composing herself in a non-derogetory manner, you can blame everyone around her for her actions but at the end of the day she is saying things that are rubbing people up the wrong way; whether it be in character or not.

 

I don't exactly see why you are you complaining or what you're complaining about. What exactly do you wish for Ofcom to investigate?

People are complaining about the editing of Big Brother and how it only shows certain sides to people although I must admit, that the Ofcom thing wasn't actually my idea and I can't honestly see it getting anywhere thought I have signed and fully back the petition.

All people are going to be edited. Jo is being shown in a no less favourable light then say Jade or Danielle. What people need to accept is that if someone is acting in a rude/offensive manner then this is going to be shown [whether for good or bad reasons..], is Jo exactly lovely the rest of the time?

 

I watched live streaming for an hour last night. All she could do was destroy Shilpa's character. No-one was leading her astray, she was speaking for herself, something she is more than capable of coming from the background she does.

 

As far as I see it this is just an attempt at some Jo "fans" to defend her by finding an excuse to "let her off" for her behavior.

oh please... you're talking about a world-wise grown up woman in her 20s, not a pig-thick girl who's made her living out of sleeping with famous footballers (as in Dopey Danielle's case).

 

Jo is the most scheming and manipulative of all three of them... far from shying away from the bitching, she's encourages it and participates heartily - EVERY time. I, too, watch the live feed and I, too, have seen her sniping at any given opportunity - moreso, in fact, than the other simple pair.

 

Don't let your judgement as a 'fan' cloud the real harsh truths - sometimes our idols really aren't very nice people.

She is, she is supposed to be the intelligent one of the 3, Danielle and Jade have to share a braincell so Jo is more guilty in a way than the other 2 as she can not blame being thick as pig $h!t as an excuse for her behaviour
