Given the news that Liverpool made a serious offer in the last 24 hours for Isak, it would suggest United need to step up their approach for Sesko to keep him from Newcastle who are now desperate for a striker.

It sounds like Newcastle have pivoted to Watkins and the deal is there to be done with Man Utd for Sesko. Just my opinion, but it sounds such a risky deal. It's a lot of money for someone based on pure potential.

Weaknesses everywhere and lacks someone who can keep the ball in midfield but it’s an improvement on last year at least, what do you think?

I think if Onana is out then I'd feel a lot better about our chances of avoiding mistakes at the back. Less convinced in our striking options but there are some decent looking youth academy products coming through aren't there.

Manchester United youngster Jack Moorhouse has signed a new three-year deal and joined Leyton Orient on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old received the Premier League 2 player of the month award for December and was involved in several senior travelling squads under Ruben Amorim.

The midfielder played in both of United's post-season tour games in Asia in May.

Manchester United's pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko could have ramifications for Rasmus Hojlund’s future.

It's understood United could consider suitable offers provided it was right for the club and the player.

Hojlund has started both games on the club’s pre-season tour of the US and has publicly said he wants to stay and fight for his place.

Definitely need striker backup as the only other real option we have would be Zirkzee... and he can't be looking to get much game time this season either.

We'll have to wait and see if we beat Newcastle to the signing of Sesko.

Nothing going to get Isak on board when he can't already play champions league football at his existing club as well as Liverpool.

Perhaps Watkins would be up for it as Villa aren't playing any European football this season. But my preference has always been Mateta with his shining record last season, he's a goalhanger we need in the box. Perhaps if Palace miss out on European football he will consider his options the same as Eze is doing.

Also want to see movement on the goalkeeper situation after the Donnarumma rumours.
