But then why let Diaz go this week if this wasn't looking like a viable transfer option, I know it isn't the same position, but the calibre of player is similar.

Even though I know I disagree with a lot of people in this thread on footballing matters.. I think we can all take solodice that we're already bored of the Gyokores celebration and he's not even score

I think Mbeumo would be a good signing, him and Cunha could possibly bounce off each other a bit similar to Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. After how last season turned out even the smallest of steps woul

There is still plenty of work to be done, and a clearout should be the priority, but it depends who is interested in approaching big waged Rashford, Sancho etc. I need Jean-Philippe Mateta to join U

He wanted out and Bayern offered amazing money considering his age. Not sure what’s going on with Elliott and Nunez but I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to leave too

We should now rename this thread the Isak Transfer Thread as it's the only interesting story for the rest of the transfer window, even Utd expressed an interest in him! 😂

That Man Utd approach for Isak is genuinely hilarious. They've done that with every player this year and being rebuffed.

@Liam Sota my view is it's all negotiating tactics. You don't bid for a player really unless you get encouragement from the club. My view is and the journos who're running the story, is this is obviously coming from Liverpool. We may end up walking away, but I doubt it. I purely believe a lot of this is just PR and negotiating tactics. Allegedly a few of the Twitter ITKs are suggesting Isak is about to hand a formal transfer request in, which ultimately I suspect Newcastle want him to do and so do Liverpool.

Matt Turner has signed for Lyon from Nottingham Forest for a fee of around £6.5m.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace.

Newcastle have completed the loan signing of Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The agreement between the clubs is a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.

West Ham have agreed a deal to sign striker Callum Wilson.

The 33-year-old, who left Newcastle on the expiry of his Magpies contract at the end of June, will sign a 1-year deal at the London Stadium.

A formal announcement of the deal is expected soon.

Talks are continuing between Newcastle and RB Leipzig over the structure of a deal which would take striker Benjamin Sesko to St James' Park.

The Magpies made a formal offer for the forward, which Sky Sports News understands was worth €75m (£65.5m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons.

This offer hasn't been accepted or rejected, as discussions go on about the payment terms.
