Eze isn't a bad signing for Arsenal, but if they don't win the title this year, there's going to be heap of pressure on Arteta.

Even though I know I disagree with a lot of people in this thread on footballing matters.. I think we can all take solodice that we're already bored of the Gyokores celebration and he's not even score

I think Mbeumo would be a good signing, him and Cunha could possibly bounce off each other a bit similar to Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. After how last season turned out even the smallest of steps woul

There is still plenty of work to be done, and a clearout should be the priority, but it depends who is interested in approaching big waged Rashford, Sancho etc. I need Jean-Philippe Mateta to join U

Wolves are in advanced talks with Girona for defender Ladislav Krejci.

The deal is understood to be worth around £25m as a total package.

Krejci is a left-sided centre-back that can also provide cover as a holding midfielder.

Bayer Leverkusen have announced the loan signing of Manchester City midfielder Claudio Echeverri.

The deal is for a straight loan that does not include a purchase option.

Dortmund have signed midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea for around £24m.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club, where he made 17 appearances.

West Ham have agreed a £17.3m(€20m) fee with Monaco to sign midfielder Soungoutou Magassa.

The agreement compiles a guaranteed payment of £14.7m (€17m) plus £2.6m (€3m) in add-ons.

There is still some work to do to finalise the rest of the deal – but West Ham are edging closer.

The noise is shifting on the Isak saga again, seems he’s told PIF face to face he wants to go. I’m beyond bored of this storyline now, seems he’s either going to come or rot in the reserves.

Liverpool have made no noise suggesting another bid is imminent and Slot seems to content with his current options, so I guess no deal is happening.

Guehi should be the priority seeing how bad Konate has been these last two games.

In saying that the fact we threw on the 16yo shows we maybe do need more options up there!

Because that’s how we do things, we’re waiting for the signals. All the Newcastle journalists were really bullish over the last few weeks, but their tone is different today. Seems Isak said he isn’t going to sign a new contract and wants to leave.

There is no way Slot is happy with his options, but he’s not going to go against the club briefings in the media. Look at how we handled the contacts last season. Chiesa and Elliott barely got a kick last season and whilst Ngoumha is going to be fantastic hopefully, he’s not even 17.

Yeh think we need a midfielder or a defender more!

We need Guehi. Although for all this about our defending last night, I thought it was pretty good. The second goal, yes, we got the high line wrong. But Newcastle created zilch really from open play.

Virgil was immense, Konate not so much. Never been a fan of the latter, always a but clumsy. No he’s falling upward with Madrid in his sights. Am I missing something?!

Not sure really. He's had a shaky start but he does go through periods like this. He's in the final year of his contract and Madrid are courting him. But another issue we have really is without Trent we struggle to build up play from out of the back. This will come in time, but it's why I am a fan of Guehi, as his passing is so much better than Konate's.

We definitely needed an attacker though. Think we will really struggle with the options we have otherwise. Really does seem even if Isak does stay he's not going to sign a new contract and basically sulk until January.

Amazed Newcastle put a 50m bid in for Laursen, seems an alright player but that’s it!

I would worry about Isaks injury record though at such a price, he’s missed 36 games in the past 3 seasons!
