June 17Jun 17 The heat didn't seem to affect the quality in Qatar! To be fair, it will only be a problem in some states, East Coast shouldn't be too bad, but certainly the West and South is going to be hoooot.A big problem you've got with this Club World Cup is the lack of travelling fans, unlike in a World Cup. Plus the games will be at prime time for European audiences too.

Specifically the England vs Nigeria group stage match that was played above 30 degrees. You had high humidity there too in certain places.
Wednesday at 05:425 days Author Yeh def would be hot over there, my memory is more of the Ireland games at it being in the evenings so maybe not as warm then. And my generations hot World Cup was 94 with Ireland cms Norway/Italy/Mexico in the Miami heat. Edited Wednesday at 05:425 days by Steve201
Wednesday at 13:105 days I tend to remember Ireland struggling in the heat versus Italy or Mexico in 1994, but I was only 11 at the time. Must have been the Mexico game they lost 2-1 played in Orlando, Florida in late June is oppressive levels of humidity. Drier heat in the South-west and pleasant on the west coast though. It's actually the east where humidity is the worst though.
Wednesday at 16:345 days I don’t mind the concept but the players will suffer. Big heat, hardly any rest then boom intense season again. It will be interesting to see if it costs Chelsea and City next season. City 1-0 up right now Foden I forgot he existed

Wednesday at 21:225 days Real Madrid technically have a great squad but they look so average. It’s very weird. That galactico thing just doesn’t work

Yet they only reached the champions league last 16 once in that period. Their good fortune was that all the sides above them in the ranking had either qualified as champions league winners or were from a nation that had already filled its 2 club quota meaning Liverpool, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Barca, Napoli and Sevilla missed out.
