Sarah's sent an email today to confirm a new album is coming. The trailer doesn't give away much. Hoping for some excellent new material :)

Very ready, it must be over a decade since her last (which I didn't actually love that much).

Hoping for a return to piano-based beauty like Surfacing and Afterglow.

Lead single Better Broken. Beautiful late 90s chilled production, somewhere between TLC's Waterfalls and the stuff Simply Red were pushing around 1998.

The lyrics are good, she sounds great, and it's a lovely melody, my favourite Sarah single for a long time! I can see it having a lot of replay value for me, unlike her last couple of albums.

Yeah it’s a very cute opener. Her voice in the bridge/chorus is gorgeous

The album, Better Broken, is out now and is great, it's very easily her best work since 2003's Afterglow, one of my all-time favourite albums.

As well as the great lead single posted above, second single Gravity is beautiful - one of her very best ballads, and third single Reminds Me features Katie Gavin from MUNA.

Also a documentary looking at her 90s female music festival Lilith Fair is on Disney+ today and is so worth a watch. It can't be understated how much Sarah and her team did for women in the music industry in the 90s and for helping to drive diversity, inclusivity and changing attitudes. So many great artists interviewed in this too - Jewel, Paula Cole, Sheryl Crow, Lisa Loeb, Tracy Chapman and so many more.

Great album indeed. a little boring at 1st, but now I really found it probably best in quite long time. Still, FTE and Afterglow are far better and remain my favs.

Album closing track "If This is the end...." is the best, should be a single!
