April 9, 200619 yr Author I love Random Acts of Kindness, it's a very credible song, it reminds me alot of his early days, I don't know why, probably because a bit of bitterness threads its way through the lyrics, which are very strong. :)
May 2, 200619 yr This is a great read :D INTENSIVE CARE SALES Intensive Care released on Monday 24th October 2005, entered the album charts at No.1 in 18 countries, including the Billboard European Top 100 Albums chart. Robbie's over-the-counter first week sales of 'Intensive Care' in the UK were almost 20% higher than his previous fastest-selling album release in 2004 - 'Greatest Hits'. More than 373,000 copies of the album were sold in the UK first week, making it the second fastest selling album of the year and the fourth fastest selling album since records began. At one point 'Intensive Care' was selling at the rate of nine copies per second in the UK. Three million copies were shipped worldwide to retail in just seven days. Robbie Williams' global solo album sales currently stand in excess of 40 million copies. 'Intensive Care' has dominated the digital charts since its release, sitting at No.1 in the iTunes chart in 14 out of 20 territories. The album peaked at No. 4 position in the US, where the album is only released digitally. Robbie Williams has accrued an impressive 22 top ten singles in the UK alone. Seven out of eight of his albums have also reached No. 1. Robbie has amassed a record 15 Brit Awards, three Ivor Novellos, a Q Magazine Classic Songwriting Award and all manner of worldwide MTV gongs. 'Live at Knebworth', the commemorative album recorded over three nights in 2003, where he played to 375,000 fans (another record), holds the title of fastest selling live album the UK. And i'm sure it's passed the 6 million mark by now and the Euopean tour has'nt even began yet :o

June 14, 200619 yr The IFPI Website has been updated today to incorporate sales during April and May. No new award for I.C. ( or any of Rob's other albums for that matter). Overall music sales must have been pretty low as in 2 months only 3 artists have gained a new Platinum Award. Link here- http://www.ifpi.org/site-content/platinum/...inum_intro.html
June 14, 200619 yr Well IC has sold virtually nothing in the past few months so no suprise their. Hopefully sales will rise during the tour
June 14, 200619 yr Did I.C. zoom up the Irish Chart last week? We'll have to wait untill saturday i'd say -_-
June 14, 200619 yr 2 copies?  Seriously, I think I.C. should beginning selling more during the Tour. I'm just not convinced it will be mega numbers. Hope I'm wrong though. I love the album. :cheer:
June 14, 200619 yr IC has already sld 6 million worldwide and Escapology sold over half a million after the tour had finished i think and he is playing to a hell of alot more people this time. :D
June 17, 200619 yr Estimated UK sales for IC so far are ~ 1.53m. For the last few weeks I reckon it has been selling ~1500 copies per week. SinSinSin did at least bring it back into view in the top 200 (#113 last week). It will be interesting to see if the tour has any effect this week . In guess most people who will have travelled for a recent gig will already own it. UK dates are not till September, which is when I would expect a sales boost. The televising of Leeds on September 9th should help too - except for it being on Sky which limits the audience. I wonder when promotion for the dance album will start - maybe that is where the effort will be put to coincide with the end of the European leg of the tour, before he heads off to Asia/Australia.
June 18, 200619 yr In Australia IC re-entered the chart at 21 and all of the DVD's climbed. The Robbie Williams Show and Albert hall both re-entered and Knebworth jumped up to number 5 and is Platinum x 10 :yahoo:
