July 30Jul 30 Author Alex Warren’s ‘Ordinary’ Holds at No. 1 on Hot 100, HUNTR/X’s ‘Golden’ Up, Up, Up to No. 2By Gary Trust | 7/28/2025Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” adds an eighth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has spent all its weeks on top consecutively, having become his first leader on the chart. Concurrently, Warren’s album You’ll Be Alright, Kid vaults 19-5 on the Billboard 200, becoming his first top 10 on the ranking, after it was expanded with 10 songs, including “Ordinary.”Elsewhere in the Hot 100’s top 10, “Golden,” from the hit Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters and by HUNTR/X, the trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, rises 4-2 for a new high. It also reaches No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart — becoming the first song by an all-woman group to lead the list since it began in 2013.Plus, Morgan Wallen’s former Hot 100 No. 1 “What I Want,” featuring Tate McRae, at No. 4, sparks history for the singer-songwriter on the Hot Country Songs chart, where it leads for a 10th week. It marks his record-breaking fourth song to reign for 10-plus weeks, surpassing Florida Georgia Line’s three.“Ordinary,” on Atlantic Records, tallied 20.7 million official streams (up 6% week-over-week), 74 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 1%) and 6,000 sold (down 12%) in the United States July 18-24.The track keeps at No. 4 on Streaming Songs, following four weeks at the summit; scores a sixth week at No. 1 on Radio Songs; and drops to No. 9 from No. 1 on Digital Song Sales, where it has led for nine weeks.“Ordinary” also continues at No. 1 on the Songs of the Summer chart, having led in all nine weeks since the survey made its annual return after Memorial Day.HUNTR/X Slays in Streaming“Golden” by HUNTR/X, the trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, surges 4-2 for a new Hot 100 high. It simultaneously tops Streaming Songs for the first time, rising a spot with 25.7 million streams, up 12%, marking the Hot 100’s top gainer in streaming for a fourth consecutive week.“Golden” becomes the first song by an all-woman group to lead Streaming Songs since the chart began in 2013. (Previously, four collaborations by two solo women and no other billed acts each hit No. 1: “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” by PinkPantheress and Ice Spice, in 2023; “WAP” by Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyoncé, both in 2020; and “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, in 2014.)“Golden,” from the hit Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, also jumps 109% to 3.7 million in radio audience — it debuts at No. 35 on the Pop Airplay chart — and 10% to 4,000 sold. (A remix of the song by David Guetta was released Friday, July 25, and will count toward next week’s charts.)Morgan Wallen’s “What I Want,” featuring Tate McRae, dips 3-4 on the Hot 100, and helps him make history on the Hot Country Songs chart, where it rules for a 10th week. The song, which topped the Hot 100 in its debut week in May, becomes his record-breaking fourth song to lead Hot Country Songs for 10-plus weeks, surpassing Florida Georgia Line’s three.Wallen’s other hits to dominate Hot Country Songs for double-digit weeks: “Last Night” (25 weeks, 2023); “You Proof” (19 weeks, 2022); and “Wasted On You” (11 weeks, 2021-22). Meanwhile, Florida Georgia Line’s three such songs: “Meant To Be,” with Bebe Rexha (a record 50 weeks, 2017-18); “Cruise” (24 weeks, 2012-13); and “H.O.L.Y.” (18 weeks, 2016).Justin Bieber’s “Daisies” drops to No. 3 on the Hot 100 a week after it debuted at No. 2, becoming his 27th top 10. It’s the chart’s top gainer in airplay (10.5 million, up 145%).Morgan Wallen’s “Just in Case” holds at No. 5 on the Hot 100 after reaching No. 2.Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not” lifts a spot for a new No. 6 Hot 100 high, a week after it became her first top 10.Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” which led the Hot 100 for a week in March 2024, and wrapped as the year’s No. 1 song, ascends 9-7 — as it adds a record-extending 101st week on the chart overall and a record-padding 71st week in the top 10.Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” stumbles 6-8 on the Hot 100, following its record-tying 19 weeks at No. 1 beginning last July.Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” rises 11-9 after 13 weeks atop the Hot 100 beginning in March. It runs up a 29th week at No. 1 on both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, extending the longest command on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (dating to October 1958, when the chart became the genre’s all-encompassing songs ranking).Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” is steady at No. 10 following five weeks at No. 1 beginning in January.
July 31Jul 31 HOT 100 29.06.25 #42 THE TOP TEN: 10. Die With A Smile - Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No change/49 weeks in chart) 9. Luther—Kendrick Lamar/SZA (Up 2/35 weeks in chart) 8. A Bar Song (Tipsy)—Shaboozey (Down 2/67 weeks in chart) 7. Lose Control - Teddy Swims (Up 2/101 weeks in chart) 6. Love Me Not—Ravyn Lenae (Up 1/NEW PEAK/17 weeks in chart) 5. Just In Case - Morgan Wallen (No change/18 weeks in chart) 4. What I Want—Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (Down 1/10 weeks in chart) 3. Daisies—Justin Bieber (Down 1/2 weeks in chart) 2. Golden - Huntr/X/Ejae/Audrey Nuna/Rei Ami (Up 2/NEW PEAK/5 weeks in chart) 1. Ordinary - Alex Warren (No change/8 weeks No. 1/24 weeks in chart) NEW ENTRIES: 94. Frecuencia - Dareyes de La Sierra (3.5/10) Another clone of the Spanish-Mexican field of pop with the same overused instruments and sound. Give this a rest; it feels like I'm reviewing the same song over and over. 92. Strategy - TWICE (4/10) Honestly, seeing that so many songs have charted from the K-pop Demon Hunters soundtrack, I think I may as well review this, and honestly, my score keeps wanting to change, but then I just dislike it again. It's just their usual aesthetic brand of K-pop that's anything but unique. 84. 1965 - Jessie Murph (1/10) A pathetic quadruple attempt and trying this new side of her music where her screeches and intros now merge into becoming autotuned, sounding as if Charli XCX were a cat getting run over. Oh, and the meaning and video are DISGUSTING. 82. Tell Me What It Is - Tyler, The Creator (8.1/10) 62. Madeline - Zach Bryan/Gabriella Rose (6/10) Does Zach Bryan just make the exact same song every time? I'll be shocked to hear if he ever puts out anything new. And yeah, he has good songs, but they are all in some way, shape, or form the same acoustic country songs. This follows that way and lacks some more material. 59. Don't You Worry Baby—Tyler, The Creator/Madison McFerrin (7.2/10) 56. Don't Tap The Glass/Tweakin' - Tyler, The Creator (7.9/10) 55. I'll Take Care Of You—Tyler, The Creator (6.5/10) 54. Mommanem—Tyler, The Creator (3.9/10) 51. Stop Playing With Me—Tyler, The Creator (6.8/10) 48. Sucka Free - Tyler, The Creator (8.4/10) 46. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne (8.4/10) Everything about this song feels so natural yet full of life; every part of the song's journey, the guitar, drums & vocals are just so involved in the song, and the fact that simplicity can be this fine is a showcase of what Ozzy really did. R.I.P. Ozzy Osbourne. 44. Ring Ring Ring—Tyler, The Creator (8.5/10) 41. Sugar On My Tongue - Tyler, The Creator (8.4/10) 33. Big Poe—Tyler, The Creator/Sk8brd (9.4/10) I'm sorry... WHAT? The energy on this is INSANE!! Tyler not only needs to start doing more club-rap music, but Pharell needs to produce more like THIS. The electronic funkiness ruled the track with the perfect amount of pitch on the beat, and Tyler's vocals were as clean as the ones on Kendrick's "Squabble Up." The amount of effort to blend all this into a highly calculated and high-effort jam is unreal. Hats off to Tyler; this is possibly the best song to hit the UK charts this year so far. 16. Eternity - Alex Warren (6.7/10) Alex previewed a snippet of this, and now that I've heard the full thing, it already feels like I've heard it; that's how predictable the song was. I'm not saying it's a terrible song, but it's nothing apart from Alex's usual loud hook and vocals that sound exaggerated for the song's feel. This is still probably the best first impression I've gotten from the album's newer singles, though. RE-ENTRIES: 100. Typa - Glorilla [I can see why she had better performing songs.] 99. Somewhere Over Laredo - Lainey Wilson [No huge feelings for this.] 96. Nice To Meet You - Myles Smith [I honestly thought this would of been forgotton in December of 2024.] 95.
