It's still Loaded Honey at number one - but with album track Over, making a hat trick of new tracks in a row for one week only each - that has never happened before, though Pet Shop Boys and John Lennon managed it with multiple weeks on top of 3 consecutive tracks but the runs had old re-issues amongst them. That also gives a total of 4 chart-toppers including Jungle stuff, and is far and away the fastest hat-trick ever of any kind. Rob Thomas meanwhile gets his biggest hit since Bent gave Matchbox 20 a chart-topper almost 24 years ago. Hard To Be Happy speaks on behalf of the 2020's I'd say. Miley Cyrus album track Walk Of Fame leaps up to 5 for her second top 5 of the year as her sis Noah grabs another top 10 with I Saw The Mountains, though she's way behind Miley in total numbers of top 10's.

Last week I saw tribute act Bye Bye Baby doing the best of The Four Seasons and Frankie Valli, and one advantage younger tribute acts have over veteran acts (those that are still touring at least) is enthusiasm for the material. I saw Frankie a decade ago and he was still great but it's hard to be energetic in your 70's - though Sparks were the other month! So, three classic Four Seasons tracks pop in, Rag Doll returns having already topped my chart as an oldie in the 2000's, and also the most effective tracks in a hat trick of Northern Soul dance classics - Beggin' has charted twice before so that's not back, but C'Mon Marianne and Dawn both debut 60 years or so late at 36 and 38, with Rag Doll at 7 while another song of the same name stays inside the 40.

Connie Francis sadly passed away last week, so Pretty Little Baby returns at a new peak, she previously charted with Warm This Winter - yes the original of that Gabriella Cilmi Xmas classic. Black Sabbath's Paranoid is also back for a third run, 1970, 1980 (when it peaked in the top 10) and again now following Ozzy Osbourne's passing. Far and away the best record he was involved in for my money. Self Esteem was on Radio 2 t'other week, and Cheers To Me was sounding good, in at 82, behind a comeback old-skool-sounding Olly Murs track, Save Me, at 80, extending his run to 15 years. sombr has had a trio of decent big hits globally, but the first that takes my fancy pops in: 12 To 12 at 88. Madonna's Ray Of Light out-take is out for the first time, and Gone Gone Gone pops in at 89, with Kenny Thomas getting another 2020's track new at 90, assisted ably by Kim Wilde, who's been charting quite a few off her current album already, so why not add a Shout Out to both!
