A Greatest Hits album I didn't expect to stumble across in my browsing for upcoming releases today but one I am pleasantly surprised by. They have such a good back catalogue this seems like a solid collection all packaged in one place.

Out 5th September.

Joy In Repetition is the first ever anthology of some of the best of Hot Chip. It covers the band’s work, from their landmark EMI/DFA debut, The Warning, and traces their artistic evolution up to the present day. Packed with stone-cold bangers from across their career: "Ready For The Floor,” “I Feel Better,” and “Flutes,” to name a few. Alongside, new track, "Devotion", which sees the band in full voice, merging pop hooks with their unique dancefloor mentality.

To complement this, the album comes housed in a cover designed by legendary British pop artist Sir Peter Blake, mastermind behind the iconic Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band artwork. and features a little monkey with a miniature cymbal (a little nod to "Over and Over").

Ready For The Floor
Boy From School
One Life Stand
Night & Day
Flutes
Hungry Child
Over and Over
Positive
Look At Where We Are
Need You Now
Eleanor
Huarache Lights
Melody of Love
I Feel Better
Devotion

Digital versions also include the Mella Dee Remix of Ready For The Floor and Boys' Shorts Remix of Devotion.

Il certainly be giving it a listen to remind myself how great they are!

This should be a solid collection. I’ve enjoyed lots of their tracks over the years but I don’t remember most of them by name if that makes sense

Greatest Hits albums by Metronomy and Hot Chip released on the same day is quite something, I've pre-ordered the former a while ago and might get Hot Chip's as it's a good collection of songs. The tracklist shows how consistent they've been over the years as each album is well represented and there's nothing that overly sticks out as should or shouldn't be included, maybe One Pure Thought over Look At Where We Are which I find a bit dull. Great that Flutes has become such a big song of theirs.
