Sammy Virji is now part of their Brit List (Myles Smith and Lola Young were the artists at the start of the year, and Olivia Dean and Artemas are also now on it) where they get additional playlisting opportunities, festival gigs and just generally get hyped by the station

When does Jack usually announce the Brit List?

It seems to be random - I think Olivia Dean/Artemas/Sammy Virji were announced in June/July time. I wouldn’t expect anymore now to be announced until next year

Yes Olivia Dean/Artemas/Sammy Virji were announced on June 5th and Myles Smith/Lola Young were announced on November 6th.

I think Radio 1 will play all previously playlisted songs by JADE and all the new songs that are clean (like they did with Man’s Best Friend, despite there being clean versions available).

Capital have playlisted ‘Narcissist’, the first thought that came to my head was that she’s playing Jingle Bell Ball.

Ah didn’t realise that, like she was a radio darling last era and now she had just disappeared! Like a Brit artist in the 80s or 90s lok

She’s still with Epic Records, not for much longer though I imagine.

She’s got no support of Epic are a big label!

Yeah but I can't imagine them not supporting Raye, no matter what it sounds like. I think it might be a big one for her too.
