Sliding off with their tail between their legs are the S Club Juniors. This double whammy of covers followed a hatrick of #2 hits and reached #6 in December 2002. “Puppy Love” was originally a 1960 Paul Anka track, but Donny Osmond reached #1 with it in 1972. “Sleigh Ride” started out as a 1948 instrumental and had lyrics added in 1950. The most famous cover is by the Ronettes, which was released in 1963 but has only reached its #15 peak recently.
