Congratulations to Canadian singer Austra who has this year's coveted Christmas Number One with her breakthrough hit 'Fallen Cloud', now spending a third week on top. The song recently became the fourth winning entry for Danæviia in the BuzzJack Song Contest!

She beats out the new Christmas favourite of the chart from Swedish metal band Sabaton, who released 'Christmas Truce' (written about the 1914 truce) in 2021 but only first impacted last year and now sits at its peak of #2.

Norweigan rock band Årabrot climb to #3 with their more synth-heavy second hit 'Of Darkness And Light'. It follows 'The Satantango' which charted at #5 following its BJSC discovery.

The most established act in the top 5 are Swedish electronica duo Anamē, who once again collaborate with vocalist Lydmor for 'I'm Coming Home'. They had three previous collabs this year, the biggest of which was #1 hit 'Hopeful'.

Completing a rather Scandinavian top five is a new entry for indie vocalist Anna von Hausswolff - 'Stardust' is her breakthrough hit at #5.

Meanwhile, we are counting down the top 200 songs of 2025 in the EOY forum, and this chart also acts as the milestone 800th since its inception in 2010.

Excellent to see “Fallen Cloud” hold at #1 for Christmas, I remember when I first heard it on the New Music Friday playlist that I thought it would make a very successful entry for BJSC. Great also to see “Siren Song” charting, that was the single before it and I'm still really enjoying that at the moment.

Anyway, I'm pleased that you enjoyed “Ludmilla” so much and that it rates in your Top 10 for a 2nd week! I think Narciss is really talented and underrated; I had actually considered it first for my Club Bizarre entry but decided I'd prefer it as part of my BJSC cannon.

Also s/o to Anna von Hausswolff - she makes my chart this week too (with a different track “Struggle With the Beast” which I heard on 6Music last week and absolutely adored).

yep I hope so, it has made the UK top 40 again this year which is good to see though going forward it won't have the advantage of being one of the few Xmas songs on SCR so would be lucky to even go top 75
