But no one should have been shocked: Any 14-year-old capable of persuading her parents to move from suburban Pennsylvania to Nashville for her career clearly has ambition to burn. And the thrill of following Swift’s rise has been watching her execute it flawlessly, largely because her melodic intelligence is equal to that ambition. Her early, youthful love songs heralded 2010's newly self-possessed Speak Now—which showed off her scathing wit—and evolved into knowing, ironclad pop fare that held its own against boisterous Max Martin production on 1989, her fifth album, titled after her birth year. Throughout, her songwriting has blurred the lines between the public and private, burying enough real-life clues (about, say, scarves and Starbucks) to make clear that only Swift can own her narrative, thank you very much, while still retaining a lyrical elegance. Though 2017’s reputation might have been perceived as a gorgeously constructed piece of dramatic theater—its attendant heroes and villains all real-life characters from Swift's public feuds—all that spectacle proved an attention-grabbing cover for her most romantic album yet. She turned up the romance even more on 2019’s Lover, but it was 2020’s folklore and its companion, evermore—ruminative, relatively lo-fi albums written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic—that earned her the Apple Music Award for Songwriter of the Year. She followed those up in 2022 with Midnights, which she wrote and produced with Jack Antonoff, and described as "the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life." In 2023, Swift undertook one of the most ambitious road shows of all time: the multi-year Eras Tour, which saw her presenting new and classic material across more than 100 locales worldwide. It was just one of many reasons she was named Apple Music's Artist of the Year for 2023. Swift returned to the soft, comfortable, bed-like sonics of Midnights for her 11th album, 2024’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. A study in extremes and heightened emotions, the record—which features guest turns from Post Malone and Florence + the Machine—is her most specific, candid, and unsparing work to date. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2009 02 Love Story -1- MILLIONAIRE2009 60 White Horse -AT-2009 51 Teardrops On My Guitar -2-2009 100 Crazier -OST-2009 30 You Belong With Me -3- MILLIONAIRE2010 57 Today Was A Fairytale -OST-2010 30 Mine -1-2012 67 Safe & Sound (feat. Before there was Elvis or Madonna, he mastered the art of morphing his persona and his music, and in the process remained an iconic force for five decades. From 1942 (when he went solo after stints with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey) until his death in 1998, Sinatra adapted his approach to changing tastes yet always interpreted every song he tackled with phrasing that personalized and enhanced the meaning of the lyrics. His early, vulnerable crooning style elevated him to superstardom, arguably turning him into the first teen idol, with screaming bobby-soxers hanging on his every romantic turn of phrase, mixing tenderness and feminine vulnerability. He made the most of the post-WWII years by radiating a rugged insouciance—filling out his once-slender frame, using booze as a stage prop, and heightening his sexuality—that resonated with a newly affluent audience. By 1953 he completed the first of several reinventions, trading in youthful silkiness for introspection, an ambivalent delivery that afforded different interpretations to different listeners, and a darker timbre on a series of albums made with arranger Nelson Riddle. Toggling between celebrating urbane hedonism, rhapsodizing romantic desire, and meditating on loneliness, he exploited the new LP format—and pioneered the concept album with In the Wee Small Hours in 1955. In 1960 he launched his own label, Reprise, and began projecting a high-roller image aligned with Las Vegas high life. Even as he cut back on recording in the 1970s, he still scored hits such as the nostalgic “Theme from New York, New York” in 1980, and his influence remains profound, whether in the music of a disciple like Michael Bublé or in the business acumen of JAY Z. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History1954 12 Young At Heart -NAS-1954 01 Three Coins In The Fountain -NAS-1955 13 You, My Love -NAS-1955 02 Learnin' The Blues -NAS-1955 18 Not As A Stranger -NAS-1956 03 Love And Marriage -NAS-1956 02 (Love Is) The Tender Trap -OST-1956 12 Songs For Swingin' Lovers -LP-1957 03 All The Way / Chicago -NAS-1958 12 Witchcraft -NAS-1958 25 Mr. Success -NAS-1959 18 French Foreign Legion -NAS-1959 30 Come Dance With Me -LP-1959 06 High Hopes -NAS-1960 48 It's Nice To Go Trav'ling -NAS-1960 18 River, Stay 'Way From My Door -NAS-1960 15 Nice 'N' Easy -NAS-1960 11 Ol' Mac Donald -NAS-1961 33 My Blue Heaven -NAS-1961 15 Granada -NAS-1961 39 The Coffee Song -NAS-1962 22 Ev'rybody's Twistin' -NAS-1962 20 Me And My Shadow (Frank Sinatra & Sammy Davis Jr.) -NAS-1963 35 My Kind Of Girl (Frank Sinatra & Count Basie) -NAS-1964 47 Hello, Dolly! Born Cherilyn Sarkisian in 1946, she dropped out of school and relocated to Los Angeles when she was 16, meeting songwriter/producer Sonny Bono shortly after her arrival. As Sonny & Cher, they released smash singles including the lightly baroque “I Got You Babe” and the driving “The Beat Goes On,” and she also hit big with solo singles like “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” and “Alfie.” The pair became TV hosts in the early ’70s, and Cher continued to put out solo records that were pop dynamite: “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” “Half-Breed,” “Dark Lady.” She later plunged headfirst into disco with Take Me Home and tried rock on for size with the band Black Rose. Cher then took a break from music, returning in 1987 for the rock-tinged Cher and continuing down that path with 1989’s Heart of Stone, which included the anthemic “If I Could Turn Back Time.” A year later, her kitschy cover of “The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss)” accompanied her lead role in the ’60s throwback Mermaids. Cher continued releasing albums and headlining Vegas residencies, with the worldwide No. 1 title track from her 1998 album Believe helping define that decade’s electro-pop, her 2003 jam “Song for the Lonely” building on that legacy, and her role in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again showing that she could take on pop confections as heralded as ABBA’s. Her forceful alto and no-nonsense personality helped make her one of the 20th century’s biggest pop icons—and she’s holding on to that title as the 21st century’s beat goes on. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History1965 01 I Got You Babe (Sonny & Cher) -1- MILLIONAIRE1965 05 All I Really Want To Do -1-1965 11 Baby Don't Go (Sonny & Cher) -1-1965 17 But You're Mine (Sonny & Cher) -2-1966 13 What Now My Love (Sonny & Cher) -3-1966 03 Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) -1-1966 42 Have I Stayed Too Long (Sonny & Cher) -4-1966 43 I Feel Something In The Air -1-1966 04 Little Man (Sonny & Cher) -1-1966 32 Sunny -2-1966 44 Living For You (Sonny & Cher) -2-1967 29 The Beat Goes On (Sonny & Cher) -3-1971 04 Gypsys, Tramps And Thieves -1-1972 08 All I Ever Need Is You (Sonny & Cher) -1-1974 36 Dark Lady -1-1987 05 I Found Someone -1-1988 47 We All Sleep Alone -2-1989 84 After All -OST-1989 06 If I Could Turn Back Time -1- MILLIONAIRE1990 11 Just Like Jesse James -2-1990 43 Heart Of Stone -3-1990 55 You Wouldn't Know Love -4-1990 89 Baby I'm Yours -OST-1991 01 The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss) -OST-1991 10 Love And Understanding -1-1991 37 Save Up All Your Tears -2-1991 43 Love Hurts -3-1992 31 Could've Been You -4-1992 33 Oh No Not My Baby -1-1993 37 Many Rivers To Cross -2-1993 72 Whenever You're Near -3-1994 35 I Got You Babe (with Beavis & Butt-Head) -OST-1995 01 Love Can Build A Bridge (Cher, Chrissie Hynde & Neneh Cherry with Eric Clapton) -NAS-1995 11 Walking In Memphis -1-1996 07 One By One -2-1996 31 Not Enough Love In The World -3-1996 26 The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore -4-1998 01 Believe -1- MILLION SELLER1999 05 Strong Enough -2-1999 12 All Or Nothing -3-1999 21 Dov'e L'Amore -4-2001 08 The Music's No Good Without You -1-2013 25 I Hope You Find It -1-2018 92 Fernando (Cher & Andy Garcia) -OST-2023 18 DJ Play A Christmas Song -1-2024 95 What Christmas Means To Me (feat. His vibrant themes are indispensable to the magic of the American blockbuster, from the menacing two-note motif of Jaws, to the stellar pomp of Star Wars, to the poignant violin theme of Schindler’s List. Born in 1932 in New York, Williams studied composition in Los Angeles before returning to his hometown to work as a jazz pianist. His first break came with his 1971 Oscar-winning score for Fiddler on the Roof, rocketing a career that would bring back the epic style of orchestral film music that Erich Korngold had pioneered in Hollywood’s Golden Age. In the 1970s, he began two collaborations that would define his legacy. Williams' decades-long partnership with Steven Spielberg started with the director's theatrical debut, The Sugarland Express, and came to encompass E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Minority Report, among other movies. Williams’ other great collaboration, with George Lucas, resulted in the iconic music of Star Wars, whose influence on film composition has been immeasurable. His use of motifs, such as the adventurous outbursts in Jurassic Park and the heroic brass in Raiders of the Lost Ark, makes the music inseparable from the scenes it enlivens. But it's worth exploring Williams' concert music, too: A highlight is the rhapsodic and technically demanding Violin Concerto No. 2 (2021), for soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History1979 13 Cavatina -OST-1982 17 Flying Theme (From "E.T. Born in 1999 in Enfield and raised in Walthamstow, Dean participated in gospel choir at a young age, before busking in the streets and eventually attending the famous BRIT School. Influenced by Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Carole King, Dean’s own take on music is autobiographical and vulnerable. In 2019, she released her debut EP, Ok Love You Bye, which delved into the challenging aspects of dating, like on the meditative “Password Change”. The following year, Dean dropped her follow-up EP, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?, a concise but evocative set of songs brimming with celestial melodies and confessional lyrics. Dean’s signature introspective style continues to grow more intimate, as evinced by the delicate 2021 EP Growth, highlighted by the soul-baring single “Be My Own Boyfriend”. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2021 19 The Christmas Song -NAS-2025 36 It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be -OST-2025 17 Dive -1-2025 04 Nice To Each Other -1-2025 05 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean)2025 38 Lady Lady -IG-2025 01 Man I Need -2- MILLIONAIRE2025 03 So Easy (To Fall In Love) -3-2025 13 A Couple Minutes -AT-2025 21 Let Alone The One You Love -AT-1 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 7 x Top 20 | 10 x Top 40 | 10 x Top 100Social Media Olivia Dean

Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. Born in Tacoma, Washington in 1903, Crosby became enamored with music as a teen after seeing the great Al Jolson. The lure of show business led Crosby to Los Angeles, where a member of Paul Whiteman's group discovered his singing in 1925. Crosby became part of The Rhythm Boys, a small combo playing interstitial performances between Whiteman's sets, but by 1928 his suave vocal stylings had become a main attraction. Crosby's deft absorption of jazz's rhythmic elasticity and liquid phrasing made him one of the most successful song stylists of all time, and his warm croon imprinted every tune with the laidback charm of someone unflustered by life's travails. He was also one of the first performers to exploit the microphone, leaning in to deliver effortless intimacy and nuanced phrasing. As the country grappled with the Depression and World War II, Crosby expanded to the silver screen, giving audiences a welcome escape. Amid the ascent of disciple Frank Sinatra and the advent of rock 'n' roll, he remained a cultural icon, affirmed by a duet with David Bowie that aired on Crosby's final TV Christmas special in 1977, shortly before his death. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History1952 03 The Isle Of Innisfree -1-1952 10 Zing A Little Zong (Bing Crosby & Jane Wyman) -1-1952 08 Silent Night, Holy Night1954 09 Changing Partners -1-1955 11 Count Your Blessings Instead Of Sheep -1*-1955 17 Stranger In Paradise -2-1956 22 In A Little Spanish Town -NAS-1956 04 True Love (Bing Crosby & Grace Kelly) -1-1957 05 Around The World -NAS-1975 41 That's What Life Is All About -1-1977 05 White Christmas -1- MILLION SELLER1982 03 Peace On Earth / Little Drummer Boy (David Bowie & Bing Crosby)2025 71 Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) (Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters) -NAS-0 x #1 | 5 x Top 5 | 8 x Top 10 | 10 x Top 20 | 11 x Top 40 | 13 x Top 100Social Media Bing Crosby

Born in London in 1985, she attended the prestigious BRIT School during her teens, eventually leaving the performing-arts institution to pursue music on her own terms. That led her to the third season of The X Factor, where her passionate audition version of "Over the Rainbow" invigorated the audience and the judges, jump-starting a run on the show that ended with her winning a record deal. Lewis' strong soprano was an ideal fit for the swaying soul/R&B that dominated radio in the mid-'00s, and her luminous 2007 single "Bleeding Love" topped the charts in 35 countries. Since then, in addition to acting, modeling, and animal-rights activism, she's appeared all over the musical spectrum: Belting the theme for James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar in 2009, collaborating with Swedish electronic-music powerhouse Avicii on the thumping "Collide" in 2011, and duetting with Cuban-American superstar Pitbull on the fiery "Amore'' in 2018. Given her ability to cross genres, styles, and art forms, you can bet on seeing Lewis shine for years to come, however she sees fit. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2006 01 A Moment Like This -1-2007 01 Bleeding Love -2- MILLION SELLER2007 46 Forgiveness -B-SIDE-2007 25 Footprints In The Sand2007 61 Whatever It Takes -AT-2007 73 The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face -AT-2007 97 Take A Bow -AT-2008 02 Better In Time / Footprints In The Sand -3-2008 05 Forgive Me -4-2008 01 Run -5- MILLIONAIRE2008 98 Misses Glass -AT-2009 02 Happy -1-2009 29 Stop Crying Your Heart Out -AT-2010 14 I Got You -2-2011 04 Collide (Leona Lewis & Avicii) -NAS-2011 08 Hurt -EP-2012 07 Trouble (feat. In a singing career that began just before World War II and continued well into the 1990s, Como was known nationwide as “the man who invented casual,” as fellow crooner Bing Crosby once put it. There was undeniable power behind his baritone, but he had a special way of relaxing into melodies as he would a well-worn pair of Sunday loafers. Raised in a Pennsylvania mining town, Como (who was born on May 18, 1912, and died on May 12, 2001) was the son of Italian immigrants and started working as a barber while in his teens. His father made just enough money to pay for music lessons, and Como eventually signed his first record deal in 1943. His easygoing charms translated perfectly to television, but he was just as comfortable in the studio—where he took on show tunes, jazz standards, Christmas songs, and radio ditties. Though he loved to play with alliteration and onomatopoeia in his more lighthearted hits—including “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo (The Magic Song)” and “Zing Zing, Zoom Zoom”—he showcased deeper strengths in ballads like “Some Enchanted Evening,” setting the listener’s heart at ease with a mastery of pacing and subtlety. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart HistoryPerry Como1953 01 Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes (Perry Como & The Ramblers) -NAS-1954 04 Wanted -NAS-1954 03 Idle Gossip -NAS-1954 16 Papa Loves Mambo -NAS-1956 24 Tina Marie -NAS-1956 22 Juke Box Baby -NAS-1956 04 Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom) -NAS-1956 10 More -NAS-1956 18 Glendora -NAS-1958 01 Magic Moments -NAS-1958 09 Catch A Falling Star -NAS-1958 09 Kewpie Doll -NAS-1958 15 I May Never Pass This Way Again -1-1958 17 Moon Talk -NAS-1958 06 Love Makes The World Go Round -NAS-1958 13 Mandolins In The Moonlight -NAS-1959 10 Tomboy -NAS-1959 13 I Know -NAS-1960 03 Delaware -NAS-1962 37 Caterina -NAS-1971 04 It's Impossible -NAS-1971 14 I Think Of You -NAS-1973 03 And I Love You So -NAS-1973 07 For The Good Times -NAS-1973 33 Walk Right Back -NAS-1974 31 I Want To Give -NAS-1986 82 The Best Of Times -1-2007 31 It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (Perry Como & The Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra) -NAS-2 x #1 | 8 x Top 5 | 14 x Top 10 | 21 x Top 20 | 27 x Top 40 | 28 x Top 100The Fontane Sisters2007 31 It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (Perry Como & The Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra) -NAS-0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra2007 31 It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (Perry Como & The Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra)0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100Social Media Perry Como The Fontane Sisters Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra

The point isn’t to weep with or for him—he had more dreams come true in his first 25 years than most people manage in a lifetime. But he’s also one of the few pop stars of his generation to have truly grown up in public, weathering the cable newsification of celebrity culture in the internet era while still trying to develop as both an artist and a person. Even early on, you could tell he had his eye on the future, balancing a doe-eyed wholesomeness with earnest attempts at hip-hop and R&B, material that suited him as a kid with material that reflected his growth into adolescence and adulthood. Some teen-pop singers end up trapped in amber; Justin Bieber has, knocks and all, kept swimming. Born in London, Ontario, in 1994, Bieber was famously discovered when his future manager, Scooter Braun, stumbled on some performance videos that Bieber’s mom had uploaded to YouTube to share with family and friends. Braun, who understood not only Bieber’s appeal but the potential of the internet, encouraged him to keep making videos and keep the equipment cheap—an approach that not only helped Bieber’s growing fanbase to understand that he was still just a kid like them, but drafted a new blueprint for how artists could reach audiences in the digital era. With the exception of a voice change around 2011, 2009’s My World, 2010's My World 2.0 and 2012's Believe are more or less of a piece: the sound of a boy trying to stick the landing into puberty. Released in 2015, Purpose showed Bieber developing a more thoughtful connection to his material, including collaborations with vanguard pop producers like Diplo, Skrillex and benny blanco. After a five-year break during which Bieber underwent significant personal changes—including a detox from touring life, a diagnosis of Lyme disease and a epiphanic marriage to Hailey Baldwin—he came back with 2020’s Changes. “People have been putting me on a pedestal,” Bieber told Apple Music. ""I didn’t ask for that. Obviously I love making music, but there are a lot of people that love making music and they’re not in the position that I’m in. I’m just trying to steward that wisely, steward my relationship wisely. I want people to take a look at my story—hopefully, my words can make a difference.” - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2010 11 One Time -1-2010 71 Love Me -PS-2010 62 One Less Lonely Girl -2-2010 76 Favorite Girl -PS-2010 03 Baby (feat. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple MusicElton JohnAt the height of the fever dream that was Elton John’s life in the ’70s, the singer-songwriter had the optician Dennis Roberts design a pair of giant, sculptural glasses studded with 57 battery-powered lights in the shape of the name Elton—to the tune of about $5,000. Adjusted for inflation, you’re talking about something more like $25,000. But John had a show to put on, and wouldn’t that be something to talk about? The excess was always apparent: the rhinestones, the costumery, the old Hollywood glamour retrofitted for a new, gender-bending world. But beneath the feathers, John’s music—written with the lyricist Bernie Taupin—was direct and unpretentious, the kind of rock ’n’ roll storytelling that met you where you were. Even if you didn’t know exactly what it meant—who is the dancer, and why are they so tiny?—the feeling was immediate, universal. By 1973’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, John said they were writing a couple of songs at breakfast and recording them before lunch. This was pop music, John argued: You weren’t supposed to think about it too much, and god help you if you did. And yet here we are, singing the songs five decades later. Born Reginald Dwight in Pinner, England, in 1947, John took to the piano young, studying on a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music while obsessively listening to Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. They were so physical, John marvelled—they didn’t just play the piano, they beat it. He started playing in pubs at 15 and, around 20, met Taupin through a want ad in a music magazine. There were good years and bad ones, highs and lows—that handful of Valium before jumping into the swimming pool in 1975, for example, or the disco album, which John himself described as jumping on a dying bandwagon—but he has always endured, emerging from the debauchery of the ’70s and redefinitions of the ’80s bruised but never beaten, a gay icon, AIDS activist, philanthropist, Knight Bachelor, and father of two. In 2018, nearly 50 years after his debut album, he embarked on a three-year farewell tour, and published his first autobiography, Me, in 2019. The host of Apple Music 1’s Rocket Hour, Elton has been the recipient of countless awards (Grammys, Oscars, BRITs, Tonys, Ivors), has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II and, in 2020, was awarded the Companion of Honour. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart HistoryEd Sheeran2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. Like a younger sibling to more contemporary acts like Norah Jones and Fiona Apple, the Icelandic-Chinese musician made her official debut in the early 2020s with her viral hit "Street by Street," which was popular on social media. Laufey's debut EP, Typical of Me, arrived in April 2021. She later expanded upon that with her official first album, 2022's Everything I Know About Love, which reached the Top 20 in her native Iceland. Featuring collaborations with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the sophisticated Bewitched followed in 2023 and brought the singer wider international acclaim, including a Top 30 placement on the Billboard 200 and the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. She also released a holiday EP, A Very Laufey Christmas, in 2024. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2023 92 From The Start -1-2023 84 A Night To Remember (beabadoobee & Laufey)2023 18 Winter Wonderland -1-2024 13 Christmas Magic -3/OST-2024 35 Santa Baby -2-0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 3 x Top 40 | 5 x Top 100Social Media Laufey

Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time”, a scathing attack on Theresa May’s government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomising his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centrepiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black”, a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart HistoryDave2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. Their penchant for heavy guitars meshed seamlessly with their knack for pop hooks and Noddy Holder's archetypal hard-rock vocal style, resulting in countless British hit singles and albums. By 1975, they had even starred in their in own film, the cult classic FLAME. The band had an unexpected comeback in the '80s with GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY POWER SUPPLY, which even broke through to the US, where Slade had never made much of a mark before. The band proved highly influential to both punk and heavy metal, but broke up in the early '90s, with the genial Holder subsequently becoming a UK TV personality. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History1971 16 Get Down And Get With It -1-1971 01 Coz I Luv You -2-1972 04 Look Wot You Dun -3-1972 01 Take Me Back 'Ome -NAS-1972 01 Mama Weer All Crazee Now -1-1972 02 Gudbuy T'Jane -2-1973 01 Cum On Feel The Noize -1-1973 01 Skweeze Me Pleeze Me -2-1973 02 My Friend Stan -1-1973 01 Merry Xmas Everybody -NAS- MILLION SELLER1974 03 Everyday -2-1974 03 The Bangin' Man -1-1974 02 Far Far Away -2-1975 15 How Does It Feel? -3-1975 07 Thanks For The Memory (Wham Bam Thank You Mam) -4-1975 11 In For A Penny -1-1976 11 Let's Call It Quits -2-1977 48 Gypsy Road Hog -1-1977 32 My Baby Left Me -NAS-1980 44 Slade Alive At Reading '80 -EP-1981 10 We'll Bring The House Down -1-1981 60 Wheels Ain't Coming Down -2-1981 29 Lock Up Your Daughters -1-1982 51 Ruby Red -2-1982 50 (And Now The Waltz) C'est La Vie -1-1983 02 My Oh My -2-1984 07 Run Runaway -3-1984 15 All Join Hands -1-1985 60 The Seven Year Itch -2-1985 50 Mysterious Mizster Jones -3-1985 54 Do You Believe In Miracles -1-1987 73 Still The Same -1-1987 95 That's What Friends Are For -2-1987 94 You Boyz Make Big Noize -3-1991 21 Radio Wall Of Sound -1-1998 30 Merry Xmas Everybody '98 Remix (Slade vs. Flush) -NAS-6 x #1 | 13 x Top 5 | 16 x Top 10 | 21 x Top 20 | 25 x Top 40 | 36 x Top 100Social Media Slade

And in some ways, they made sense: Like Sinatra, Bublé was an old-fashioned entertainer, the kind of singer who weighed his success in part by how well he connected with the crowd. But where Sinatra exuded swagger and masculinity, Bublé was soft and humble, a fisherman’s son from British Columbia who could swing if he wanted but tended more toward ballads and delicate adult-contemporary pop. Did the ladies love him? Of course! He’s Michael Bublé. He might be carrying a torch, but he’s lighting his own way. Born in 1975 in Burnaby, just east of Vancouver, Bublé fell in love with jazz and standards after being turned on by his grandfather, an Italian-born plumber who later offered his services to clubs to fix their pipes in exchange for putting a teenage Bublé onstage. As his star grew, his range broadened, balancing straight takes on classics like “Stardust” and “All of Me” with polished contemporary pop (“Home,” “Haven’t Met You Yet,” and “Nobody But Me”), creating a sound that was immediate, romantic, elevated but accessible. And like his heroes (not just Sinatra, but Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, and a generation of American entertainers), Bublé got his Christmas album (2011’s Christmas) and a string of TV specials (buble!). In 2013, he gave an impromptu a cappella performance in the New York City subway. That, he said, is when you know you’ve made it. A stretch, but if his voice doesn’t get you, his charm will. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2005 31 Home -1-2005 45 Home / Song For You -2-2007 38 Everything -1-2007 19 Lost -2-2009 05 Haven't Met You Yet -1- MILLIONAIRE2009 34 Cry Me A River -2-2009 69 Feeling Good -AT-2009 72 Hold On -3-2010 11 Hollywood -4-2011 74 It Had Better Be Tonight -AT-2011 06 It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas -1*- MILLIONAIRE2011 78 Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas -AT-2011 47 Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) -AT-2011 77 Santa Claus Is Coming To Town -AT-2013 10 It's A Beautiful Day -1-2013 72 Close Your Eyes -2-2014 39 Baby It's Cold Outside (Idina Menzel & Michael Bublé)2015 21 Holly Jolly Christmas -AT- MILLIONAIRE2016 77 Nobody But Me -1-2020 55 Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas (Dolly Parton & Michael Bublé)2021 61 The Christmas Sweater -2*-2021 44 Let It Snow! -AT-2024 80 Spicy Margarita (Jason Derulo & Michael Bublé)0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 3 x Top 10 | 5 x Top 20 | 10 x Top 40 | 23 x Top 100Social Media Michael Bublé

However, because of a rift with Jeff Lynne, Wood left ELO after the debut No Answer and created Wizzard, a bizarre octet who debuted at a 1972 Wembley Rock 'n' Roll Festival and then captured the airwaves with "Ball Park Incident." Wizzard landed two chart-toppers overseas, "See My Baby Jive" and "Angel Fingers." Chaotic but always melodic, Wood built a unique wall of sound around these and other dandies like "Rock and Roll Winter" and perennial winner "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day." Wizzard even jabbed the ascending ELO with "Bend Over Beethoven." In the center of this insanity, Wood sported multi-colored beard and mane, added a star to his forehead, and covered his face (perhaps inspiring fan Paul Stanley) with warpaint, sprinkles, or innumerable other oddities. Wizzard seemed to only maintain success with singles however, and the Introducing Eddie and the Falcons LP, a tribute to early rock icons like Del Shannon, Gene Vincent, and Cliff Richard, proved to be Wizzard's final work. Manager Don Arden enjoyed stadium success in the U.S., but Wizzard folded when management decided not to increase financing. Wood kept bassist Rick Price and saxophonist Mike Burney for the Wizzo Band, whose jazz-funk wafted beyond commercial confines for a lone effort, Super Active Wizzo. Wizzo expired in 1978, Wood continuing his concurrent solo career and basically dropping out of sight, reappearing periodically to perform with disciples Cheap Trick. Wizzard bassist Rick Price died on May 17, 2022 at the age of 77. - SpotifyTop 100 Chart History1972 06 Ball Park Incident -NAS-1973 01 See My Baby Jive -NAS-1973 01 Angel Fingers -NAS-1973 04 I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday -NAS- MILLIONAIRE1974 06 Rock And Roll Winter -NAS-1974 34 This Is The Story Of My Love (Baby) -1-1974 08 Are You Ready To Rock -NAS-2 x #1 | 3 x Top 5 | 6 x Top 10 | 6 x Top 20 | 7 x Top 40 | 7 x Top 100Social Media Wizzard
