Just to give an update on this.

I asked the people behind the account of US Radio Updater on Twitter about this and they replied to me that the number of adds that "Mature" has received (19 out of 20) as of now are from the same ownership, so this means that they're from the same radio block. This is a similar situation which happened weeks earlier with "stupid song", so let's see whether they're actually going to do something with the track on Pop or not. I mean, their priority is Hot AC so far.

The latest HITS Your Radio Add Recaps article confirms that "Animal" also went for adds this week.

Interscope Capitol’s Team Marella has three tracks in the T40 Top 10 Most Added this week, led by the #1 Most Added record, KATSEYE’s “Animal” (HYBE/Geffen), with 48 impact adds.

As a side note, US Radio Updater confirmed that "stupid song" already went for adds, possibly on July 14 or July 21, on Twitter, but they were unable to confirm with her radio team which exact date was.

"Okayyy" by Latto featuring Doja Cat is going to impact Rhythm and Urban next week.

"MORNING DEW (DONK)" by Beyoncé went for adds on Rhythmic, Urban and R&B this week.

This is an interesting move from Republic which I wasn't expecting of to happen, especially from another track from petal besides the title track, which is clearly to be the next single from Ariana's latest album, but there's not any confirmation of this as of now.

As a reminder, a song being serviced to a radio format is different than a song to receive a formal push from the label (or to have an impact date), so this indication makes me think that Republic wants Pop radio stations to have an alternate option post-album release alongside "hate that i made you love me" and, possibly, the title track when it receives an adds date.

That said, it should be noted that Republic is one of the few labels which could work multiple radio singles from the same artist in their roster at the same time, so let's see what happens.

This was expected to be honest. As I mentioned before, I'm kind of sure they're going with this as the next single from the album and Republic wants Pop radio stations to spin "stay" to focus in a solely album track post-album release aside "petal". Obviously, plans may change depending of how the rest of the tracks perform in other metrics (digital and streaming platforms), so anything could happen in the next weeks.
