I feel this season will be very 2014 so extremely interesting beforehand to see the shake up of the order but inevitably one team will nail the new regs and absolutely dominate. I also don't see the racing improving the way drivers and fans want it to at all.

Alonso with better odds than both Ferrari drivers tearsmile

And Aston Martin really on the same odds as Red Bull?? Bookies really going in hard on the Newey masterclass...

Oh that Cadillac team is interesting. It's like 'Team Castoffs' or something, both having a lot to prove, after playing second-fiddle at their last big seat.

Mercedes chief designer John Owen is to leave the team later this year.

The 52-year-old has been with the team since 2007, when it was Honda, and been a key figure in championships won under the name Brawn in 2009 and Mercedes from 2010.

The team won the drivers' and constructors' titles as Brawn and then seven drivers' and eight constructors' championships as Mercedes from 2014-21.

Nice actually add some colour to the Red Bull car.

Williams will miss next week's first pre-season test following delays completing their new car.

The team, who have targeted 2026 as an opportunity to move towards the front of the field, said work had been pushed back as they "continue to push for maximum car performance".

A spokesperson said not committing to the Barcelona test following the delays was "a better engineering outcome".

Former Red Bull boss Christian Horner is among a group of investors interested in purchasing a stake in Alpine, the French team has confirmed.

Horner, 52, was sacked as Red Bull team principal last summer after a decline in form for the former world champions and nearly two years of internal conflict.

A statement from Alpine said the group of potential investors linked to Horner was among "multiple interested parties" to have discussed a potential investment with the team.

Alpine said it was "no secret" that minority shareholder Otro Capital, which bought a 24% stake in 2023 for 200m euros (then worth £171m), had "held preliminary talks to sell its stake in the team".
