Bruno slips to #2 after a fortnight at the top with I Just Might. Charlie Puth is up 6 to #3 with Beat Yourself Up, one of his best I'd say. At #4 is Opalite by Taylor Swift, slipping a place. Dermot Kennedy has the highest climber, up 9 places 14-5 for a 10th top 5 hit in total. Harry Styles climbs to #8 with Aperture, slowly growing on me. Jack Savoretti has the highest new entry with We Will Always Be The Way We Were at #9. Embrace enter at #12 with their new song Road To Nowhere, not to be confused with the Talking Heads hit. Another regular visitor here is Dean Lewis, scoring his 11th top 20 hit with I Am Getting Well at #18. Mel C is in at #21 with What Could Possibly Go Wrong?, an improvement on her last one for sure. Noah Kahan enters at #31 with his brand new song The Great Divide. Roommates is Hilary Duff's first appearance in this chart (her debut pre-dates this chart) at #35. February 2Feb 2 Heya!Bruno replaced already 😮 I am surprised with that.Funeral is great, that's a good climb for it this week. I really wouldn't mind if it charted officially.Such a funny way is so much better than tears. In sad it hasn't taken off or anything.Aperture is great, hopefully a top 5 position incoming for this one.Yasss Mel c. What could possibly go wrong is for sure a mouthful for a title but it's superb. Her best in years? Absolutely.The great divide is brilliant. I'm hyped to see it starting at #1 on the the official first look chart, I wasn't expecting that. Would be pleasantly surprised if it managed it all week but sad that it was at the expense of Harry's aperture.Roommates is exquisite. Hilary's best in years and I do love it already.Fab stuff 🥳
February 2Feb 2 I have to say that "I Just Might" also had no so much stamina for me, but place 2 is still good. It is interesting that we have quite distinct charts, eventhough we both focus mainly on new songs, e.g. the new songs from Hilary, Noah, Harry, Robyn, Appleton and Melanie C are not among my favourites. That is the beauty of music - there is so much different great stuff out there, so that 10 people can have top 50's without any overlapping songs.
