April 25, 200619 yr I was reading an article in the press with the headline. "James Blunt should be feted not hated," and its about his nominations in the Ivor Norvello awards. It goes onto say that these are industry awards in recognition to excellence in songwriting and is an stamp of approval from other songwriters. It goes on to say that we in the UK should be embracing him rather than knocking him and its something that applies to Robbie too. btw I didn't know that JB was hated..
April 25, 200619 yr Author He is definitely hated by a lot of people (particularly the uber-cool Indie brigade :rolleyes: ). And most music journalists don't seem to have a good word for JB. A bit like Robbie in that respect really. -_- (I'm not much of a fan either to be honest :blush: )

April 27, 200619 yr I didnt know JB was "hated" either, but I guess that just proves the role the press play...because like any artist they will build up someone's career in the way that suits them and that in turn decides people's perception of that particular artist. For some artists its the in-thing to like them, so the press will pull out everything to make it swing that way..and vice-versa.
