New project from Michael Aldag, out 26th March.1 The Carousel Intro2 Palaces3 Carousel4 Superstar5 Favourite6 Fantasia7 Saturday8 3minutes9 Chase10 Bodyback11 Happy12 HellA chunk of these songs are available already, either as singles from this album (Hell, Superstar, and new single Chase), or because they featured on his prelude EP Crying in the Club last year. Either way, everything so far has been excellent and I don't think he's ever sounded quite so comfortable.
March 29Mar 29 Author So the album is out now! Most of the songs had been released already but still so great to hear it all together as one package. This sound really works for him, it's got the rawness and vulnerability of his previous work but it feels more confident and assured. Carousel is majestic, I'm all over it right now!!
March 29Mar 29 I listened to this earlier and then.. immediately replayed it straight after. It really hit me quite hard. Not sure it will get much love because of how different it is, but Palaces is my favourite - such a bold, powerful, vulnerable song, I was transfixed listening to it. Really solid album - I am glad I gave it a chance!
March 30Mar 30 Nice album, shame it's not out on CD or I'd have bought that.The singles were all well picked, and Hell is a really strong closer. I love that he produced/wrote this with Robin Stjernberg (who won Melodifestivalen 2013/represented Sweden at Eurovision that year).
