Lip Critic - Theft World

NYC electronic-punk band Lip Critic are back at it with their new LP "Theft World", releasing on May 1st. The backstory? You might wanna sit down for this one-

While Lip Critic were touring "Hex Dealer", frontman Bret Kaser discovered his identity had been stolen and used to make hundreds of purchases, including the band's entire discography on Bandcamp. They tracked down the scammer, encountering a young man in a Five Nights At Freddy's hoodie, who confessed and explained his belief that the group's music contained hidden codes for an elaborate scavenger hunt. They recorded him at a 24-hour halal spot where he enthusiastically described his imagined lore - inspiring the band to scrap the material they'd already recorded and instead create an album incorporating the more vivid universe the fan had painted for them

Lead single "Legs In A Snare" dropped a few days ago, carrying on the hot streak from their banger 2024 record - give 'em a peep!
