Friday at 19:384 days They’ve aged like milk and Kanto has been shoved in our faces constantly already £20 for not a port just emulation is absolutely crazy
Friday at 19:434 days Haven't played on my Switch in months but will be reviving it for this. I had kind of hoped it would be a GBA title they'd add so I can use my existing expansion but I shall dig into my pockets and pay though I agree the price is a little insane for something that's been around forever and just ported into the system. Not sure how much it was on the DS online when that was a thing?

Not sure how much it was on the DS online when that was a thing?It was never a thing on a virtual console until the 3DS had gen 1 and 2 I think I remember it being like 7.99? Something like that, the Wii virtual console had various spin offs too for a little less or around the same.I just think it is so greedy of them, presumably it’s only really because TPC don’t want you to be able to use save states and cloud saves etc as you can with the NSO games but I don’t see why that really matters. We’re about to get Champions which will allow for editing Pokémon for competitive so shinies I guess, but then shinies are easier now anyway with various methods. Bottom line is they are greedy, other RPG series do sell their older games like say Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy but they’re under £10 and sometimes have new features like a fast forward, not much but something. But then really none of them need to do that either when there’s the NSO expansion, although it is different with third party games than a Nintendo franchise.Like it could at least be a slight rework to take out the silly lack of cross gen evolutions until post game, or online battles/trading instead of just local play, that would be something small to justify it. In the age of rom hacks and fan games, there are so many better ways to explore Kanto and not have to be rinsed for the pleasure, for me. I don’t expect them to fully remake it or anything, and yeah it’s a cute idea, I just think £20 for nothing added but Home compatibility which has no bearing on anything anyway is kind of insane;
