Can't see it but who knows. People seem to think it will be over in a week, I'm not so sure. All I do know is I hope the UK have learned lessons and we stay the feck out of this one.

Why? China and Eussia will not take on thr US over Iran lmaooo, especially not nuclear. Russia is bogged down and China wants Taiwan.

I don't have much more reasoned analysis than this is Israel leading the US around into war and it's horrific to watch.

They want the upside to be collapsing the Islamic Republic and that would be a laudable outcome except I don't think it's going to do that, I think they've miscalculated and this could get very bloody - or not end up going anywhere but that depends on how much Trump actually does commit.

Thought this might be significant enough to split into its own topic rather than bouncing between the more general Trump and/or Middle East threads.

Fresh attacks are continuing and as much as the Trump and Netanyahu admins will be making the argument that they've achieved a stunning success cutting off the head of the snake, power vacuums are rarely good for countries and this looks to be a pretty nervy time to be in the Middle East with strikes going on across the region and flights cancelled.

The hub that is Dubai getting hit as well, no matter what it is if it’s only debris for example it’s pretty bad for the place which was the biggest airport in the world basically for flights transferring between Europe and Asia.

I think the Americans were emboldened by getting away with Venezuela, so they're turning themselves back into a very aggressive world police.

I am astounded by the commentariat class on both sides of the Atlantic still hailing this though, have they even thought about how this will play out in the weeks and months ahead? If it ends with the fall of the Islamic Republic and a peaceful and democratic Iran I will be very surprised.

Continues the very hostile international environment that Trump has compounded since the start of this term.

It's weak, isolated from China and Russia, and just has stockpiles of missiles and slow drones. Israel had air SUOREMACY, not superiority, after just a few hours both this time and the last. It's an annoyance rather than a threat to the big powers.

If anything this just shows rogue states that they need nuclear armnaments to defend their regimes as the US won’t go near North Korea for example. If they don’t and they regime throws a spanner in the US colonial economic order they will change your government.

Pretty sure as someone who has had to get a repatriation flight before, they’re certainly not free. You pay the pleasure of a commercial price for none of the experience!
