Posted January 23, 200718 yr Source: virgin music news High-profile bands including Crowded House, The Jesus And Mary Chain and Rage Against The Machine are getting back together for this summer's Coachella Festival. As previously reported, rockers Rage Against The Machine are to reunite to headline the annual three-day event in Southern California along with Bjork and Red Hot Chili Peppers. But a number of other bands are also making comeback appearances, including Aussie soft rockers Crowded House, who haven't played together since 1996. Influential Scottish indie act The Jesus And Mary Chain, who officially split in 1999, also appear on the bill for the event which takes place from Friday April 27 to Sunday April 29. The Friday will see Bjork and the Jesus And Mary Chain alongside the likes of Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Jarvis Cocker, Sonic Youth, Faithless, DJ Shadow, Felix Da Housecat, Rufus Wainwright, We Are Scientists, Amy Winehouse and Gogol Bordello. Red Hot Chili Peppers will be joined on the Saturday by Arcade Fire, Tiesto, The Decemberists, The Good The Bad And The Queen, Travis, Kings Of Leon, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Regina Spektor, Hot Chip, Fountains Of Wayne and Sparklehorse among others. And the Sunday lineup includes Rage Against The Machine, Air, Happy Mondays, Manu Chao, Willie Nelson, Paul Van Dyk, Crowded House, Kaiser Chiefs, Damien Rice, Placebo, Explosions In The Sky, Soulwax, Lily Allen, Jose Gonzalez, The Feeling, The Klaxons, The Kooks and Mika.
