It's 2 weeks on top for RAYE and Hans Zimmer as they hold off Take That from the top spot, Harry Styles goes back up to a new peak of 4 while simultaneously leaping his 2017 track Sign Of The Times to 15, way higher than first time round thanks to its key moment (the song) in the fab movie Project Hail Mary. Neil Sedaka leapfrogs himself twice as Bad Blood finally gets a top 10 slot 51 years after peaking at 11, with some help from Elton John, no stranger to getting top 10 oldies in my charts or the UK charts.

I saw Suzi Quatro in fine form on Monday night, though she didn't do the current single (no Alice Cooper there, but holding at 76 ) so maybe next week some oldies or newies will pop in - I bought the new album, signed by Suzi, and gave her a lonely wave (just me there) as she was driven out past the stage door as I was walking by en route to my car up the West Cliff coast in Bournemouth, starry starry night too. Which reminds me Vincent is up to 14. Suzi can and did play classical on piano, drums and bass for anyone expecting her to be a one-trick pony.

Highest new entry is Stephen Sanchez on his 5th or 6th charter, Chuck The Money at 59 being not unlike Feel It Still, Portugal The Man also climbing co-incidentally to 32 this week. Lana Del Ray finally gets that Bond Theme out and in at 63, albeit via a PC game theme version of Bond - better late than never, it's lush and fits in nicely with her "Nancy Sinatra for the 21st Century" early references, given Nancy still has the Best Bond theme in You Only Live Twice. Madonna has a shock new entry, her second of the year with new material but this is from Confessions On A Dancefloor 2, and bodes well as she seems to be going back to dance music, I Feel So Free at 66. Madge is the same age as me, more or less, so yay for her. That'll be 42 years of charting then.

Moya/Maire Brennan of Clannad passed away, sadly, this week, so Clannad's evocative oldie from 1982 is back at 74 - I never watched the TV show Harry's Game, but the theme tune is just wonderful. Kylie has a classic oldie (topping my chart in 2002) used in an advert which has boosted downloading interest and gives me an excuse to have Love At First Sight back, at 83 and 2 spots ahead of an even more unexpected return from an 80's pop star - Mari Wilson had a string of hits in 1982/3, best of which is Just What I Always Wanted, and her new one borrows the vibes of that one, so it's Good News having her back after a gap of 42 years - she has been away as long as Madonna has been having hits! Not the longest time away ever from my charts, but it's up there....
