2 amazing albums :wub: ive really got into them lately, especially A Little More Personal :wub: i think she is a great singer and actress and cant wait for the 3rd album!! guess she will have to get out of rehab first though :(

I loved her first album... hated the second album but loved the single confessions of a broken heart (daughter to father) ... i hear she has a 3rd album on the way but she has lost her appeal lately ... not that many people are interested in her anymore and she is one lazy b**ch that doesn't promote so i doubt we would get anything due to lack of promotion and america may get 1 or 2 singles depending on how much she wants to push herself.

I simply ADORE her.

 

Both of her albums are excellent, she seems to have matured (in the same way that Britney, Christina etc) have but a lot faster, inbetween Speak and A Little More Personal she changed her sound and took it a lot more personally (hence the album title) the second time around. The tracks on the second album are so much more mature, a lot more relatable, which gives us something to empathise with. I love both albums really, the first is a pop masterpiece, many gems on there which could have been singles other than the dire - First. :manson: I heard she got dropped after the second album tanked? :unsure:

 

Oh and she flopped over here, so I wouldn't be expecting much in terms of a UK release. I got both of her albums from HMV on import however. ^_^ Over/Rumours peaked at #27 in the UK and dropped like a brick and I don't think the album ever actually charted.

 

I think if she had of used Rumours as the lead single instead things would have been pretty different in referance to her success in the UK, but bundling both Over and Rumours together was a disaster, it wasn't even a Double A-Side, Rumours was just a b-side, how ridiculous. Or even if they had of just sent the Rumours video to get some spins on the music channels, but they didn't. They started the project with Over, it wasn't promoted, it got zero airplay, minimal TV spins, she didn't come over to do any PA's, therefore the whole album flopped.

 

Confessions Of A Broken Heart was meant to be released here but never was (do you remember me and you praying it would be Jackie? :lol: ) and then she's been in every press release possible saying she's in rehab, she's been sacked off this and kicked off of that, very bad PR for her.

 

So i'm unsure of if we will actually get a 3rd album at all, I really hope we do because I thought she was fabulous.

It sold over 300k and it debuted selling 80K+ which is really good for that position seeing as Paris's sold 70k+ and got to number 6......Lindsay just released on a difficult week ;) i want a LL forum i know it will never happen though :cry:

Well I think it could be successful, she's had tonnes of films to discuss, she's had 2 albums (3rd HOPEFULLY on the way), she's always in the news etc, so I think it could be successful but people just won't vote for it. :(

Really liked the first album. The second one was a dissapointed. "Over" should have done so much better over here and probably would have if she promoted it (what was it's peak again?). Didn't she get dropped by her record label for being too lazy to promote or something or was that just the UK label..? think it was.

 

Her films on the other hand.. AMAZING. :D Think shes a better actress :P
