A classy move if ever there was one, Praying tells of Kesha's desire to have hope for even those that have wronged her. The lead single from Rainbow and her first solo single in ~4 years, it was a statement and a half. She describes the song as being written about "that moment when the sun starts peeking through the darkest storm clouds, creating the most beautiful rainbow". It went on to become a chart hit in the UK and the US and was Grammy nominated!

Kesha wrote the song as a Pride anthem to inspire people to be themselves and to celebrate any quirks and eccentricities. It is a song of positivity in the face of horror stories emerging from young children unable to accept who they are. It became a #1 single in the US and the UK and has since gone on to be a staple for her, even closing out her latest tour. The song performed exceptionally well in this rate with near top scores from everyone!

I mean I appreciate the sentiment behind it but seriously?!

Definitely happy with the winner, still sounds so fresh today and brings back so many fond memories. I can appreciate Praying’s meaning to her and the power in the song, even though I wouldn’t have it this high.
