New entries directly into the Top 10 were quite rare recently. This week Ariana took "Petal" directly to #2 - what a song! what a video!

At the moment I feel a lot of alternative pop. Nessa Barrett scores her first #1, Atmos Bloom and Miia enter the Top 10. Also new in the Top 10 is Adéla's "Ain't In LA" and a beautiful country song from Lily Meola.

Alyssa Grace scores the second hioghest new entry with "Bloodstream" - it took a while to get familiar with her voice - now it finally clicked.

Further new entries come from Gabriella Ekaputri, Mollie Elisabeth, Slayyyter, Charli XCX, Greta van Fleet, Dasha, Tove Lo, Rachel Chinouriri and Florrie - a very strong bunch of releases in the middle of the summer - love it!!!

A pity that "Petal" probably won't make it to #1 in the UK - it has good odds to become #1 in my charts next week. "Ain't in LA" should be Adéla's breakthrough hit - I hope it can reach the Top 10. "Sleeping With My Boots On" is country music how I love it - hope she can gain some success with it. "Saw You Stand" is fantastic - the best Greta van Fleet I have heard so far.
