January 29, 200718 yr Author Going back to what was being discussed at the begining of the topic, I really doubt that Israel represents jews worldwide, in fact most of Israel inhabitants are even actually jews, and there are more jews living in USA then in Israel. To blame the jews for the political position of this state is a wrong generalization, and yes it IS racism.[/i] how can it be racism if its fact?... and of course israel reprisents jews worldwide, ill say this much for them, unlike christians they do stick to their bible. I also don´t agree with the remembrance day being used just to talk about jews... Jews were a minority among the ones killed by the nazis. But well, there are many rich and influent jews everywhere, and even if they end up on misery they quickly rise again and become rich and powerful again like a fenix. which is exactly the main point! but its seen as a jewish disaster, not a human one During the entire 20th century there were wars and people dying all over the world, we should not use a date for feeling sympathy for a certain ethnical group but just to remember how miserable our human race is. again the very point we made

During the entire 20th century there were wars and people dying all over the world, we should not use a date for feeling sympathy for a certain ethnical group but just to remember how miserable our human race is. Well, I think I was very careful to separate Israelis and Jews... I dont believe for a minute that the Israeli State actually does represent the general view of the majority of Jews around the world... Trouble is, the Israeli State actually seeks to be the representative voice of the entire Jewish race... Not enough Jewish people are standing up and saying "Oi, you fukkers, you do NOT represent what I think...", and the ones that do are usually condemned as being 'self-hating Jews' by those who support the Zionist Movement, and non-Jews who criticise the Israeli State are usually condemned as being 'anti Semitic'... I've had plenty of conversations on News chatrooms about this sort of thing with militant zionists who will not brook even the slightest criticism of their precious Israeli State, they bandy about the term 'anti-semite' like some sort of bloody idiot mantra... Totally irrational, stupid people who really need to get a fukkin' life.... <_<

January 31, 200718 yr At our school I dont think we got taught about it until quite a way through year 9, so they probably havent covered it yet. Year 9...? that would be 15 or 16 yeah...? Why wait that long to cover it..? I was made aware of the Holocaust when I was about 12/13...
January 31, 200718 yr Year 9...? that would be 15 or 16 yeah...? Why wait that long to cover it..? I was made aware of the Holocaust when I was about 12/13... No, 13/14. You leave in yr 11, thats when you're 16...
January 31, 200718 yr No, 13/14. You leave in yr 11, thats when you're 16... I'm confused by the English education system tbh.... When I was at school, when you entered into Secondary education, THAT was your 'First' year, and you left either after 'Fourth' (16) or 'Sixth' (18) year.. There was none of this 'Sixth Form College' stuff.... The Scottish Education system is totally different, Colleges tend to be for 'Further' Education, post-School....

I think it's easier saying like year 7, going on from year 6 rather than going back to 1 again.
January 31, 200718 yr Holocaust is an animal sacrifice offered to some deity, which was an habit among jews a few thousand years ago, and ironically, this name was used to describe their own death at WW2.
January 31, 200718 yr I suspect that Robert knew all about the holocaust but just wanted attention
January 31, 200718 yr I suspect that Robert knew all about the holocaust but just wanted attention  No he hasn't learnt it yet. At our school we dont until year 9.
January 31, 200718 yr No he hasn't learnt it yet. At our school we dont until year 9. I am basing my opinion on his "oh that old chestnut" comment so he must have known at the very least the basics of what happened to say that
January 31, 200718 yr I am basing my opinion on his "oh that old chestnut" comment so he must have known at the very least the basics of what happened to say that  Doubt it. Unless he's been researching it in his spare time.
January 31, 200718 yr Doubt it. Unless he's been researching it in his spare time. The Internet...? I would imagine that he could certainly access LOTS of info there... The fact that he said "that old chestnut" suggests to me that he's been surfing Dr David Irvine's site.....
