It's a week-late chart, apologies been mega busy this week! New Radicals and Michelle Branch stay on top with their fabulous version of Santana and Michell's previous chart-topper, Madge & Kylie edge closer and Jungle get a second top 5 in a row as their lovely new album drops and Sunshine becomes the highest new entry at 30, the next obvious single, Where Are You Now also in at 69, and more tracks falling short of the 100 along with pending additional Madonna tracks.

Lily Meola grabs a first top 10, Sleeping With My Boots On at at 8, with the mytery Lowdii Beats at 10 with the retro The Love Boat, totally 70's. Etta James leaps into the 20, Stormy Weather, as if! Holly Humberstone makes 2 in the 40 climbing, and the sad passing of Teardrop Explodes' drummer Gary Dwyer at least allows me to re-chart their mega-exciting chart debut from 1981, Reward, still a total blast. I missed noting the death of Primal Scream's Mani last year so Loaded also returns from 1990 to new in at 95.

Robun Schulz enters a second track on to the chart, this time with Watermat in tow on the good Take it Slow at 68. Freemasons are back after a bit of a quiet year or two, covering Mesmerised, an old 2005 Faith Evans dance track, and rather good the new one is too, at 84, one ahead of Steve Lacy's Oh Yeah? Charting courtesy of a Spiderman Brand New Day slot, the synth chords not a million miles away from Tubeway Army's Are Friends Electric.

Dagny's been around a bit without troubling my charts, but Rain does the trick and debuts at 78 for the popstress, while The Womack Sisters are soul royalty. The 3 daughters of Womack & Womack have a fab 60's-ish soul track at 97 with If I Let You, but their credentials dont end there - there's also uncle Bobby Womack and grandfather Sam Cooke, who of course never lived to see them. 80's hitsters 5 Star's lead singer Deniece Pearson drops in with a reggaetastic ditty Berry to return her to my charts for the first time in 35 years or so! Not the biggest-ever chart gap but it's up there. That leaves James Blunt preparing for his next album on new pleasant single Tastes Like Summer. It surely does!

"Reward" is a nice Teardrop Explodes classic, but my favourite song from them is "Treason", which would easily make it into my Top 500 of all time (once in time I need to start a project with a personal Top 500 or 1000 of all time, but I find it really difficult to rank songs from different eras). Nice gain for Lily - I have peaked it at a similar position - it will stay strong this week also in my charts.

Same here, Rose Gray, it strikes me, could make a great Eurovision song, classy dance bops under 3 minutes! Radio 2 is playing Dancefloor so it's growing on me ready for On Wires dropping out I think - On Wires had a dropping phase turn yesterday when I played it, compared to newer tracks. 😄

I also rate Treason, it's in the breakers outside my top 100 waiting for a gap to come back. Reward hit 2 in 1981 and Reward went top 10 👍I started a top 1000 of all-time on here based on chart points but ran out of steam reviewing each track (I may come back to it though). 500 is more manageable, but rating so many is very difficult if your mood changes and records fall in or out of favour 😄Glad you still rate Lily's, I've been spreading the word amongst Country fan friends who are impressed!
