In the early 70’s they were one of the few bands to successfully straddle the widening gulf between the UK rock underground (prog-rock) and glam rock. Their first big hit was Bowie’s “All the young dudesâ€, but other songs included All the way to Memphis and Roll away the stone. They sort of ran out of steam by late 1974.

A bit of trivia -the support band for MTH's late '73 UK tour and '74 spring tour of North America was Queen :D

They were a pretty good band.

 

I've seen Ian Hunter live in concert and he was excellent.

 

However, they will always be remembered for their Bowie cover....
