Posted January 29, 200718 yr From Amy Lee herself. Well, after looking at these posts, I'm sure you guys will like this- Terry and I both felt kinda the same way about ATILF as a single- its a great song but we really had our hearts set on Sweet Sacrifice or weight of the world- but the label was really hell-bent on ATILF. In the end, after (youre not going to believe this!) actually listening to the fans reactions on the boards etc., they agreed we were right and changed their minds! So here's the big news- we are now going with sweet sacrifice for the third single. ROCK METAL. I'm stoked. Thanks for speaking up about what you think! All we needed was a mob! Love, amy ps- dont be bumbed about lithium, its just now getting good play. (it was only added officially this month, so it was a late start but it is still doing well! keep requesting it!)
January 29, 200718 yr YES! YES! YES! It's honestly the best song they could've chosen. Edited January 29, 200718 yr by Filthy or Gorgeous
January 29, 200718 yr What are Evanescence doing to promote this album? Haven´t heard anything about TV performances, videos, etc, and stuff that artists usually do to sell records... Is it true that Lithium had not been added to radio stations until now? Silly.
January 30, 200718 yr Oh good :D At least they listened to the fans. :D I would still perfer 'Weight Of The World' or 'Snow White Queen' myself but I am very happy that at least we get a strong, decent single and not some friendly track the record company decide on.

I think they promoted it hugely when it was fast released and 'Call Me When You're Sober' was too but they did no promotion here for 'Lithium' or th album since then - I don't know about the rest of the world.
February 3, 200718 yr All That I'm Living For is bland. Sweet Sacrifice is better, still wished they had chosen Weight Of The World though, I love that song.
February 5, 200718 yr It's a good way to kick off an album, but I really dont think that it's a song that is strong enough to stand on its own.... Musically it's slight and rather repetitive.....
February 5, 200718 yr I think Amy´s post was kinda right, because this week Lithium is #24 on USA bubling under chart - it´s a sign cause it wasn´t listed anywhere until this week, when acording to her the song was added to radios.
February 20, 200718 yr I bought the album yesterday, I have to say 'Sweet Sacrifice' is absoluetly amazing. :o Could well be my new favourite of theirs. :D
February 20, 200718 yr I bought the album yesterday, I have to say 'Sweet Sacrifice' is absoluetly amazing. :o Could well be my new favourite of theirs. :D I liked it myself lots at first, but the more I listened to the album, the more I could see the slight limitations in SS and the strength of other songs like "Snow White Queen" or "Cloud Nine"... Going slightly off topic for a moment - recently got the new Deftones album - WOW!!!! Gobsmacking..... An essential purchase for anyone into 'Alternative Rock' music....
