part 2...

Now you've got your great film.

what makes an essential DVD package?

what extras should there be? what things do you look for on the box? what sells you a new edition of a dvd you've already got?

I get really angry about deleted scenes that you cant branch into the film.... What's the fukkin' point if you cant actually work them into the film's narrative to get the fuller picture...?

I like commentaries, making of's and documentaries.

I'm not sure I'd buy a dvd again if I already had it just for the extras, maybe if I really liked it...

Documentaires and Making Of's i like the most :D
I wish more of them had shorter commentaries or perhaps brief "making of" episodes or discussions with the filmmakers. The last thing I want to do after watching a 2 hour film and restart it and listen to 2 hours of rambling commentary all for just a few interesting facts or stories.

Making Of's, deleted scenes, interviews with the main stars and photo galleries!! :)

comentrys, trailers and delted scenes, making ofs, music video, a pdf anual (eg: doctor who anual 1981 comes with the new box set)
A decent movie, without a decent movie the extras are a waste of time, no dvd is worth it just because of the extras
I originally had The League Of Gentlemen Live at Drury Lane on video, but bought the dvd purely for extras (mainly commentary more than anything). It was so worth it.

Yeah good extras definitely add to the whole buying experience and I tend to watch all the extras but I would never buy a DVD purely for extras when I am not a fan of the movie thats what I meant :) for example the LOTR series (each one 4 discs packed with extras) but since I hated the movies and I am sure trhe extras were great I still never bought :)

Well obviously you wouldn't want to see deleted scenes etc of a film you don't even like...

P.s. I'm in the middle of watching House of 1,000 Corpses, it's good so far!

I am not really a deleted scenes person tbh, I prefer Making Of documentaries followed by commentaries, like Scott I really dont see the point in deleted scenes far better incliding them in the movie itself

Aah cool look forward to review ^_^

Well, I know it's not a film but the LofG dvds have deleted scenes, because they have a time limit of 30 mins per episode, so I like to see deleted stuff. And outtakes

I'm not really going to have time to do them yet, I've got so much stuff to do at school, coursework/presentions and making two films.

Do you know my film exam is 8 hours :o

Editing I think. We have to collect all the footage ourselves too, and it's spread over two days. I think there's a paper aswell, but I'm not sure yet.
