Posted February 1, 200719 yr Britney Spears' fans are all she has left, says the creator of World of Britney, the Web's biggest fan site devoted to the pop star. Today is the final day for the site's creator, Ruben Garay, who announced in December — amid Spears' panty-free spree through the club scene in Los Angeles and Las Vegas — he was shutting down the six-year-old site. Garay said Spears' partying ways and lack of industry clout had soured him and scores of diehard fans. Tuesday, he penned his final letter to pop's wayward princess and posted it on the site. "I hope that the past couple of years have been enlightening for you. Living in the public eye is tough, but the work that needs to be done will need to happen from the inside and then work towards outside," Garay writes. Her legion of hard core fans will continue to be supportive, he adds, so "please don't let them down, they are everything you have left." Garay says another Spears fan, Rajiv Doshi, who runs britneyspears.org, will take over worldofbritney.com. Garay is expanding his celebrity repertoire on Monday with the launch of ThatOtherBlog.com, which will include news about all celebrities. SOURCE
