With a sassy peroxide bob and a sexy pout, Hannah Spearritt is practically unrecognisable from her S Club days. She's now 25 and has re-launched herself as an actress and looks younger and sexier in a kooky kind of way. Hannah's PR tells us there are two questions we must avoid like the plague-one, her recent split from her boyfriend (and former S Club 7 member) Paul Cattermole and two, anything to do with celebrity big brother's controversial housemate (and Hannah's old S Club mate) Jo O'Meara. But the temptation was just too great...

So, Hannah, you and Paul split?

Yes, we have but its all okay. it was amicable and we're still very good friends. But I've moved on and I'm now dating a great guy called Andrew!

Your Primeval co-star Andrew-lee Potts?

Yes! Love blossomed on set, and he asked me out after the series was finished. We started and we're really happy. He plays a geek in Primeval but he's a bit of a rock in real life-and a romantic!

Do you see yourselves getting married in the near future?

Oh God! I'm dating and just very happy for now. so please move on. Ha!

Would you have advised Jo not to have done Celebrity Big Brother?

Its a tough call to do shows like that. I have made a personal decision to stay away from those programmes. I like Dancing on ice though.

So would you have advised Jo against it?

The whole big brother thing- its like selling your soul. even so, I have to admit that its fascinating to watch.

Was it tough when S Club finished?

It was a shock to the system, but I was ready. Other people in the band got down about it but I was okay. The S Club days were full-on. it was like being in prison, or in a bubble. In a way that was great, but that bubble needed to be popped at some point, which is why we all came together and said to each other: 'we need to finish this, even though its been great'. we finished on a high.

Were drink and drugs ever involved?

I've too much self-respect for that - I just wanted to look after myself. I did drink but I was a light weight! if I don't have a drink for a while, then one wine will get me hammered, but if I drink every day then my body can sponge it up.

Do you still see your S club band mates?

We all went through a certain experience together and it has formed a strong bond. So we don't feel the need to check up with everyone every week. I'm very close to Jon, who I'm living with at the moment and I still speak to Tina - she's just so lovely!

Did you ever consider going solo?

I knew I was heading towards acting. I wasn't up for competing to go out there as a artist. The music industry has changed so much, so if I was to do that I would have probably fallen on my face. its four years since S club broke up, so life is much calmer for me now.

And you look so different...

Well, the hairs just a bleach job. But people say the face has changed. I still look like a baby, though. I'm now starting to look 18 - I'd probably say I could play anything from a teenager to someone in their thirties.

Will we see you doing serious dramas?

Well, I love doing the action stuff, but I would love to make an independent film. I'm just happy to be able to do anything I can take on. I really enjoyed making Primeval.

It certainly looks impressive...

Yes, Primevals quite American-looking, I think. Although it was filmed in stoke Newington, which isn't sp American-looking!

Its quite action-packed-did you have to limber up for the role?

Well, I had to take up a little bit of physical activity - not for muscle, but so I could sustain the long days. Basically, I jogged around the block every morning. its important to get some blood running around.

You also starred in the gory horror comedy Seed of chucky...

It was such a funny film and my co-star Jennifer Tilly was lovely to work with. Sadly I didn't get to know her that well, as i was only shooting for nine days - I was either on the phone or being set on fire! but she's just as kooky as you'd expect. She brings a lot of life to a set. And she really does speak like that!

Your rather kooky yourself with your pixie hair...

And my pixie paws. Ha!. I think i look like a little hamster! Seriously, if I had to liken myself to an animal then I think I'm rather owl-like.

In seed of chucky, you were set on fire. Did you enjoy watching your death?

It was a good death, wasn't it? Strangely I had the same body double on that film that I have on Primeval and it was the first time she'd ever been set on fire! She went away to Romania without telling her mum what she was doing out there. But to see a human person go up in flames was gruesome. it didn't feel right.

Do you ever act like a diva?

Well, I get my own trailer anyway! its mad how people can change with success, but I put it down to the way you have been brought up. I never want to p**s anyone off. Being a diva is a c**p way to live your life.

Spiceworld was recently named the worst film of all time. But we couldn't help but notice that S Club's seeing double didn't feature...

No way! I'm surprised. it was on Five recently and my director on Primeval texted me during it, saying: 'I'm watching you, Hannah'. And I was like: 'Dont you dare, don't do this to me!' When I watch it, its funny, but perhaps it should have been in that top ten. What else was in there? Was show girls in there? I love that film.

Dannii Minogue told us she loves that too. Maybe you start a fan club?

You know what? I just might...
