Its nothing to do with teachers it is more to do with parents, its a parents job to teach morality it is a teachers job to prepare kids for exams

somehow I just knew it would be the teachers' fault

I never actually said it was down to TEACHERS, I said SCHOOL, and the Government decide what is taught, not teachers. Believe me, both my parents are teachers, and I have the most respect for the profession, but I do disagree with some of what they are told to teach, I do believe that sex education and such should have a more prominent place on the curriculm than it does.

Well my school never gave sex ed because it was catholic  (i'm not catholic btw)

Yeah we are seeing the behaviour of the "I want it all and I want it now" generation, people who want fame and fortune without wanting to work hard for it and idolise the likes of Paris Hilton and want to have had 50 partners by the time they reach 16 and want to get drunk and get drunk now and are not prepared to wait in life for anything and when this generation reaches 18 they will get themselves into incredible credit card debt because again they want everything immediately, the signs of this generation really is rather disturbing

There are some good decent teenagers on this board from the posts I read but sadly I think they are the minority in society not the majority

The moral decay really has set in

Absolutely mate, We're not talking about a Scandinavian-style 'liberalisation' here of sex, I think you'll find the average Scandinavian teenager seems a lot more responsible than the average British teenager, and I think that responsibility is the key element here. And I cant help feeling that it is the worship of people such as Paris Hilton that has led to this unpleasant new development.. Sex itself between teenagers probably wont stop and has been a reality now for decades, but this sort of 'DIY Porn' element is not something that we should just shrug off and say 'ah well, it's a fact of life'... It's not, it's insipid, it is wrong and the current 'anything goes' (which "Celeb Culture" and the Media has largely helped create) culture that's been propogated without it seems any semblance of parental control or instilling of responsibility or moral guidance is going to cause this country no end of problems for the future....

I think it's about time we considered banning anyone under the age of 18 from having a video mobile phone, full stop, first "Happy Slapping" and now this, sorry, it's just not on... It's clear to me that many of these parents are not going to take the responsibility and say 'no' and control their feral offspring a bit better, so it seems as though it's up to the State to step in and do something. I've slagged off the 'Nanny State' many times, so this is something I do not propose lightly, but sometimes you just have to do something instead of just sitting back and letting people make horrendous mistake that they and society as a whole will end up regretting...

exactly (think I can remember too)

it is just a lot more open and blatant now!

but I still blame the parents ... :arrr:

There are many things you can blame. Parents, schools, government, teachers, the availability of both porn and mobile phones, peer pressure, the media, "celebrity"... The list goes on...

Yeah we are seeing the behaviour of the "I want it all and I want it now" generation,

sorry but that was started in the 80's by thatcher.... greed, materialism, she encouraged it all. its no wonder things are in the state they are in now..

I have sexual education at school when I was like 10 years old, and I think it was very inapropriate. I think sexual education will teach them how to use condoms, how to avoid getting pregnant, and stuff, but somehow it won´t stop them having sex and filming it if they want.

Nah I disagree, that was 25 years ago almost, way too long has past for that to be a factor, the ones who are doing this were not even born when Maggie left office, I would say far more to blame are the likes of Paris Hilton especially but also the likes of Britney and Aguilera too prancing about on stage cavorting in sleazy pop videos with their dancers wearing next to nothing and sleazy poses, their young fans see this and think since their idols act like sluts then it is a cool thing to do

We briefly got taught it but I think we were too young to really take it in, people would just act immature. It was pointless.

The only way to stop this lurid behaviour is, as Scott says, banning ANYONE under 18 having video mobiles.

I agree. I dont see the fascination with them.

I agree but it is unpoliceable, the parents or an older brother or sister would just buy the phone and the only way to enforce it would be police "stop and search" of teenagers and I would rather the police were out catching muggers and burglars tbh

Banning video phones will not end teenage binge drinking or drug taking or lack of morality or under age shagging

But tbh, about 0.1% of under 16 year olds with video mobiles will actually decide to record themselves having sex; why should the other 99.9% of us suffer just because of their twattishness? -_-

why? she started the materialism trend that we now have... its evolved... its all tawdry..

Virtually everyone I know both online and offline of every age group despise Thatcher, I am the only person I can think of that really likes her, I do not think that people see her as a role model certainly not among the young

it was her POLICIES not her as a person... her great state giveaways, materialism, greed, were the foundation for the tawdryness that we have today.

It is this generation that has turned out bad though so given they were not born when Maggie left office means the morals they get would have come from their parents but I don't understand how being greedy and materialistic has to do with under age shagging, binge drinking, violence and drug taking which is an epedemic among this current generation

The young people on this board appear to be decent people but I would say they are very much the minority in society among teenagers

I don´t think we should blame individuals Aguilera, Spears and Hilton, but the whole media system they are in. Paris and Britney were once like their young fans too.

Disagree, people copy their idols, I have been following motor racing for 30 years and a driver using his car as a missile to deliberately ram another driver off the road was unheard of then along came Ayrton Senna who started doing that and now over the following years since Senna you see drivers ramming each other out every race from F1 to junior go karting, Senna was an idol and a role model and drivers who looked up to Senna thought it ok to do that because their idol did. Michael Schumacher (multiple cheat) hero worshipped Senna.

In football diving and faking injury was unheard of till Jurgen Klinsmann and Maradona but kids who worshipped them started thinking it is ok to dive and fake injury and its ballooned through the years to the extent that diving and faking injury is the NORM, my 9 year old nephew when we are having kick arounds spends more time rolling around on the ground than he does standing up and he openly admitted he dives and cheats because he saw his hero Gerrard do it

I refuse to believe there is not a connection between these filmed sex sessions and Paris Hilton's home made porno video and Spears' filmed sex sessions with that Kevin guy that she put online

Chavs look up to the likes of Hilton

I'm ashamed of these people. Well, of teenagers who have sex in general. That's really gross. Why can't they wait until they get married. Especially boys who pressure girls. It's very disturbing. :(
