Posted February 5, 200718 yr I personally wouldn't. I think The Smiths were meant to a particular time and it has already passed. The only conditions in which I wouldn't mind was if: 1- It would be the 4 of them. 2- Only to do one concert, one tour tops. And maybe release a dvd with that concert.
February 5, 200718 yr I think it would be brilliant to see The Smiths reform with a brand new album to see how much they have progressed musically together, they were also a band who I think could probably be very sucessful again if they did re-unite, however Morrisey has a fairly sucessful solo career now so I doubt he would do so as he probably wouldn't want to risk losing that for something that may not work out.
February 5, 200718 yr he has said he'd rather eat his own testicles :P and that's bad coming from a vegiterian lol
February 5, 200718 yr Author Yeah, I read that interview. Maybe if it wasn´t for Mike Joice they would re-unite. But I would love to see a Morrissey-Marr colaboration once again as long as it wasn´t using The Smiths' name. In a Morrisey solo album would be nice. :) Up to this moment, we have draw. 2-2 B)

I think Morrissey feels that the others havn't done anything to earn their fame, they havn't put any effort into being a success in their own right so them getting back with him would just be like them riding on his coat-tails. Morrissey and Marr were the smiths, the other two were replaceable.
February 5, 200718 yr I'd like to see a Morrissey/Marr collaboration & album. In the same way that Brett Anderson & Bernard Butler of Suede recorded & toured an album together but not under the name Suede (eg. The Tears).
February 5, 200718 yr Author Does anybody know if Morrissey and Marr still see each other regularly? Have their kept their freindship?
February 6, 200718 yr In the same way that Brett Anderson & Bernard Butler of Suede recorded & toured an album together but not under the name Suede (eg. The Tears). Well if it ever happens I hope it's not disappointing like that one was :( And I agree with most people here and would like to see a Morrissey-Marr collaboration but not the whole band. I'd rather see a Barât-Doherty one though :P which I think will happen at some point ^_^
February 6, 200718 yr Does anybody know if Morrissey and Marr still see each other regularly? Have their kept their freindship? I've heard that Morrissey was disappointed with Marr during the court settlement because Marr basically put all the blame on Morrissey to make himself look like the good guy.

February 6, 200718 yr Author I bet Joyce would make more money with a reunion then what he is earning since the court's decision. :D
February 6, 200718 yr He and Rourke do Manchester V Cancer gigs, which always fuel rumours there's gonna be a Smiths re-unite Btw, Nicky ''Morrissey - The Best Of Morrissey'' B) nice choice
April 6, 200718 yr I would love it but it would have to be Moz/Marr/Rourke at the very least, Joyce would be nice but is a bit expendable but the rest are essential for the Smiths. Rourke is under-appreciated his bass lines made some of their songs.
