Razorlight halt gig after onstage fight

Johnny Borrell storms offstage after brawl

Razorlight were forced to halt a gig in Lyon last night (February 4) after Johnny Borrell and bassist Carl Dalemo were involved in an onstage altercation.

Halfway through the band's set at the Ninkasi Stadium in France's second city, an argument broke out between Borrell and Dalemo.

The pair then reportedly came to blows and Borrell left the stage followed by the rest of the band.

According to XFM, drummer Andy Burrows then apologised to the crowd before the group shortly returned to complete their set.

The band are due to set out on a UK tour this April, calling at the following venues:

Exeter West Point (March 30)

Bournemouth BIC (April 1)

Newcastle Arena (2)

Manchester MEN (3)

Glasgow SECC (5)

Birmingham NEC (6)

London Earls Court (8

Johnny still has a bit of Libertine in him then :P I.e. The band falling out and rumours of a split because of it and isn't it funny that it is with someone called Carl this time too

Razorlight are a good band but Johnny Borrell is starting to annoy me lately, anybody with half a brain would just carry on with the show and put their differences aside until after the gig. Personally I don't think it's long until Razorlight split seeing as Borrell's ego has gotten way too big for the band imo. <_<

Johnny Borrell is such an idiot. It seriously cannot be healthy to be that full of yourself.

xXx

Razorlight are the new Verve - a bunch of also-rans who've suddenly made it big with their worst material yet (the current Razorlight album is their 'Urban Hymns') and with a lead singer with an ego which outweighs his talent by a factor of 100 to 1.

Borrell will have an underachieving solo career from the start of next year.

'Urban Hymns is a good album imo. Much better than anything Razorlight have released -_-
If Borrell attempts a solo career and that fails then chances are he will just create a new band in the hope of sucess, the question is though who would be mad enough to want to work with him?
Urban Hymns is $h!te. The singles are its only redeeming songs but even thy're not that good. It still pisses all over "Razorlight" though. But Up All Night was a far superior album that was actually half-filled with decent songs!
I don't like The Verve or Razorlight - I was just making a point. Both have become far more successful than either deserved due to a public resumption in interest for 'indie' music. Both made 'indie' music at one time and decided to profiteer on an easy market with limp, easy, inoffensive tunes that the radio can overplay.

Completely shocked at people NOT liking The Verve :o Sonnet is absolute class and sung by a great emotive voice (imo)

But I also agree Up All Night was better, definately. I don't think Razorlight will ever touch upon another Somewhere Else again, but it doesn't sound like they will be around much longer anyways

'Razorlight,' isn't an awful album imo but I still can't help think that it sounds as if it's been watered down slightly for radio and they've lost the guitar edge which they had on the debut album.

Completely shocked at people NOT liking The Verve :o Sonnet is absolute class and sung by a great emotive voice (imo)

Oh they weren't the untouchables you thought they were -I hated them. 'Sonnet' is delivered with the same bored, Wigan drawl as every other Ashcroft number - what makes it even worse is that it sounds vaguely like an Ocean Colour Scene song.

Still, each to their own, unless you like Razorlight, in which case each to somebody else's - please...and quick!
