A video clip showing Mariah Carey clamming up at the very mention of Jennifer Lopez, has surfaced on YouTube.com, reigniting the rumoured feud between the two divas.

 

In an interview with a German television reporter Mariah denies knowing who J.Lo is, despite waxing lyrical about Beyonce Knowles just moments earlier.

 

Clearly happy to gush about fellow diva Beyonce, Mariah tells the interviewer: "I love Beyonce. Beyonce is fabulous. I think she’s a great writer and singer, you know, she’s a very sweet person as well. Very sweet."

 

But it seems that she’s used up all her praise when asked about Jennifer Lopez. "I don’t know her," the singer says curtly, shaking her head, then nodding awkwardly in anticipation of the next question.

 

The pair were rumoured to have begun feuding as early as 1998 when, both signed to Sony Music, Jennifer reportedly recorded a cover and used a sample that Mariah had intended to use for her own projects.

 

While J.Lo’s recording career with Sony went from strength to strength, Mariah eventually left the label after publicly admonishing them for what she perceived as a lack of support.

 

 

 

 

It's really too bad because I like both Mariah and Jennifer.

Lol that's so funny. Mariah all the way obviously, I like JLo's music, but I don't like her as a person.

I was impressed with J.Lo's early work, not so keen on her later material.

Has anyone saw the video of Mariah winning Artist of the Decade or something like that at Billboard in 1999/2000 and then the camera pans to JLo and she's putting on a fake smile and clapping away.
