Posted February 7, 200718 yr I know Fall Out Boy have many people on this forum who do hate them but I'm not one of them. Personally I think that 'Infinity On High,' is a brilliant album and shows how much they have progressed since 'Under The Cork Tree,' which was also a fairly good album. :D You can definitley tell the influences from hip-hop producer Babyface and I think they tried to make it as obvious as possible they worked with hip-hop artists by having Jay-Z speak on the intro to 'Thriller.' I didn't really know what to expect from this album when I heard they would be using hip-hop producers but although you can definitley hear influences they haven't lost their original sound too much. :D
February 10, 200718 yr Actually I've got this, and the album is not that bad, but I do prefer 'Under The Cork Tree' more than this.

February 10, 200718 yr I'm still swithering on whether or not to get this album, as there seems to be a rush of good stuff at the minute. Which tracks should I listen to?
February 11, 200718 yr Author My favourite tracks on 'Infinity On High are 'The Take Over, The Break's Over,' 'Golden,' 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs,' 'Don't You Know Who I Think I Am,' and 'The (After) Life Of The Party.' :D I've voted for a Modern Rock/American College Rock Forum just now. :)
February 12, 200718 yr It was 7 pound in Tesco which tempted me,but what ive heard of it is nowhere near on par with the last album.

February 13, 200718 yr Can a mod move this to pop then? If punk / metal folk (and it's WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more that than indie / alt) don't want it then can we lump it in with 'pop'...they were Top 3 after all! I cannot stand these guys.
February 13, 200718 yr Can a mod move this to pop then? If punk / metal folk (and it's WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more that than indie / alt) don't want it then can we lump it in with 'pop'...they were Top 3 after all! I cannot stand these guys. it shouldnt be moved to pop as pop should be cheesy disney stuff, but then again it shouldnt be here. this area should be more a spotlight for those indeppendent and leftfield acts (inc all the twee and boho stuff) that are not as big. esp in the way of the new charts where it seems that there are only about 40 acts in the top 75 with all the big mainsteam acts with all the huge campaigns and marketing promotion/radio play taking over. the gulf between those charting and those who are not is growing larger. also the metal mods havent got room to talk seeing as this thread about the electric six is still in the area. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27898
February 17, 200718 yr Move this to pop and I'll just move it straight back again. It obviously doesn't belong in pop, so if you don't like them then ignore the thread - simple!
February 17, 200718 yr Move this to pop and I'll just move it straight back again. It obviously doesn't belong in pop, so if you don't like them then ignore the thread - simple! it shouldnt be with pop as that should be for the radio disney lot. however this area should be more like this below, as it might end up being disjointed in focus and to leaning on the mainstream with all the threads taken up with about 4 acts!!!! gotta give supposrt to smaller acts on the circuit. I hope people aren't going to be including The Feeling, Keane and The Fray!! Taken from my personal chart: 01 The Shortwave Set – Casual Use 02 Guillemots – Annie, Let’s Not Wait 03 CSS – Off The Hook 04 Long Blondes – Giddy Stratospheres 05 The Hours – Back When You Were Good 06 Cold War Kids – Hang Me Up To Dry 07 Camera Obscura – If Looks Could Kill 08 Client – Zerox Machine 09 The Shins – Phantom Limb 10 The Good, The Bad & The Queen – Kingdom Of Doom 11 The Gossip – Standing In The Way Of Control 12 Idlewild – No Emotion 13 Kasabian – Me Plus One 14 Jarvis Cocker – Don’t Let Him Waste Your Time 15 Los Campesinos – You Throw Parties, We Throw Knives 16 Liam Frost & The Slowdown Family – She Painted Pictures 17 Klaxons – Golden Skans 18 Arcade Fire – Keep The Car Running 19 Husky Rescue – Nightless Night 20 Howling Bells – Low Happening If any are inelgible then: 21 Field Music – A House Is Not A Home 22 LCD Soundsystem – North American Scum 23 Air Traffic – Never Even Told Me Her Name
February 17, 200718 yr It doesnt seem to fit anywhere, they're not Indie, Pop or Punk/metal. That's why we need that new forum.
