Last night The Arctic Monkeys played a secret gig at Leadmill in Sheffield, where they showcased new material off their upcoming LP Favourite Worst Nightmare.

I thought they'd be a bit better quality, but you can vaguely (sp?) hear what Brianstorm sounds like.

 

Still hopefully there will be some more videos that are a bit better quality at least uploaded on youtube! :lol:

Arctic Monkeys last night returned to live action by playing a secret gig in their hometown Sheffield.

 

They took the stage at the Leadmill, although no announcement was made until an hour beforehand. It was the first time the band have performed since completing the new album which they indeed previewed aswell as playing tracks from their debut album.

 

The setlist ran:

Thanks for posting 'D Is For Dangerous.' :D It's better quality than 'Brianstorm,' so you can hear what is being sung and I can definitley say that it makes me even more excited for the new album as the song sounds great. :D

They're doing something like that.

 

Lecister (sp? :( ) Uni right? They seem to be playing loads of little mini gigs at the moment in small venues.

Great promotion for the new album atleast. :D

 

Perhaps they want to make sure they still keep their fans with their new sound. :)

Well I imagine that is one of the reasons. :P

 

Another one will be the act that they just wanna tour and play out the new songs which shows how dedicatd they are to music, I mean how many bands are there nowadays that could sell out Arenas and they go and play gigs at Unis? ^_^

I actually do think Arctic's should do an Arena tour but they are doing the big stadium gigs to avoid doing so aren't they? I think there will be a certain point in their career where they are going to have to start performing at Arena's.

Yep I think they're gonna avoid Arenas - well for the moment anyways.
