February 14, 200718 yr Personally, I thought Christina's performance was fantastic. As I posted in the Christina Aguilera Optional Forum, those of you who critised her performance are obviously unaware of the Godfather of Soul (the late James Brown) 1965 original version of that song "It's A Man's, Man's World", as Christina was taking off his vocal inflexions superbly. Ironically, other than that I think you've missed all the other best performances of the night: Carrie Underwood "Desperado"; Dixie Chicks "Not Ready To Make Nice & The Police "Roxanne".

February 15, 200718 yr Beyonce was ill - watch the Oprah performance to see what she's really capable of. And I don't care if Christina was imitating JB, the scream was awful, as was the rest of the song. You couldn't tell what she was saying as she turned one note into ten. Vocally, it was like she was trying to climb the highest mountain, but climbed it in the first bar so had no where else to go. The scream was as she fell off the top.
