ive read that one already...such a sad thing for Jan and his family i dont know how they can do it but best of luck to the entire Williams family

and the way the tabloids have written it, you would think Robbie was back on the 'heavy' drugs and bottle

so it has given the wrong information to many readers, it would be only Robbie fans, that have followed his career that would know the first paragraph in the paper was from the early days.

Robbie today is in a clinic battling the addiction of prescription pills, not flipping booze.

It saddens me and infuriates me at the same time to see how he's being treated.

Why are they taking such pleasure in ripping him apart

Why are they taking such pleasure in ripping him apart

thats what sells the papers these days, society is ruthless and they prefer to here about "how stars fall" (as they refer to it) <_< <_< <_<

TPT praises Robbie's rehab decision

Sunday, March 4 2007, 10:44 GMT

DigitalSpy.com By Daniel Kilkelly

Tara Palmer Tomkinson has praised Robbie Williams' decision to check into rehab.

The It Girl - who is currently appearing on Comic Relief Does Fame Academy - has been in touch with Robbie since he entered the Meadows Clinic on his 33rd birthday.

Tomkinson spent time in the Arizona clinic eight years ago when her drug use spiralled out of control, and she believes it was one of the best decisions she has made.

"I know he'll be fine there. He'll love the Meadows. I did," Tara told the Sunday Mirror. "It is difficult but it's fun. It is full of love, hope and support. Robbie will have a lot of laughs there and a lot of tears.

"I'm Robbie's biggest fan. He's a great friend and one of the most adorable men I've ever met. It's fabulous what he's done. He's realised there's something wrong and he's doing something about it. Sometimes you just need a check.

"And if in five years, he finds he needs another check, then that's fine too. People are very harsh to judge someone who's gone back into rehab again. So what? You just check yourself back in and do it again. It's when you say f*** off to everyone and don't think you need any help - that's when you should be worried."

The girl with the big mouth finally said something sensible. A nice read for a change and she made some good points.

TPT isn't as stupid as she looks. Think the 'dumbness' is a bit of an act with her.....

She is a classically trained pianist as well.

TARA Palmer Tomkinson is helping her troubled ex lover Robbie Williams in his battle against prescription drugs. And Tara - who beat an addiction to cocaine - says she has no doubt he will succeed.

Robbie checked into the Meadows Clinic in Arizona, where Tara was also treated, on his 33rd birthday three weeks ago after becoming hooked on pills and anti-depressants.

Former "it" girl Tara - who starred in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and last night appeared in TV's Comic Relief Does Fame Academy - is confident Robbie, who sought treatment for cocaine and drink addiction in 1996, will overcome his drug demons.

She has already been in touch with the former Take That singer and says: "I know he'll be fine there. He'll love the Meadows. I did.

"It is difficult but it's fun. It is full of love, hope and support. Robbie will have a lot of laughs there and a lot of tears."

Tara, 35 - who has dated a string of famous men including You're Beautiful singer James Blunt and Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes adds: "I'm Robbie's biggest fan.

"It's when you say f*** off to everyone and don't think you need any help - that's when you should be worried. I keep finding myself thinking, 'I know what Robbie will be doing now'. He'll be getting up at 5am, meeting people much less fortunate than him.

"But he should be OK, because there's a lot of love and a lot of spiritual help available too. And then you've got all those doctors and nurses on hand to get you through your horrible time."

Tara, whose parents are close friends of Prince Charles and who grew up alongside Princes William and Harry, made her name in the 1990s as a party-loving socialite.

BUT her life spiralled out of control as her drug use escalated and eventually threatened to kill her. She was famously pictured tearfully boarding a plane to LA as she was packed off to rehab eight years ago.

But Tara bounced back. Since completing her five-week stint in the Meadows she won a host of new fans by being on I'm A Celebrity in 2002. And last night millions saw her take on her latest challenge - singing and playing the piano on charity series Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

But love had been harder to find. As well as affairs with James Blunt and Nick Rhodes and a 10-day fling with Robbie last May she has been engaged to Beatles producer George Martin's son Greg and had romances with love-rat stage star Darren Day, millionaire property magnate Anton Bilton and Matalan heir Jamie Hargreaves. Her other conquests include ex-Blue heart-throb Duncan James, former EastEnder Sid Owen and white rastfarian musician Skinny Power, whom she "wed" in a bizarre fake ceremony on board a ferry in 2000.

She says: "I'm not into finding someone and falling in love - It just doesn't fit into my schedule. But don't think just because I haven't got a boyfriend I go without. You don't have to have a boyfriend to get everything else. Let's just say I like the edited highlights, rather than the full compact disc." And now her friends mock her over her list of famous exboyfriends. She says: "One of my friends told me the other day, 'You have been out with half of the people in my iPod'. But I like my life. If you have flings, you just have the good bits. You're always in the honeymoon period, it's always lovely!

"Then, when they start to get a bit clingy, off I go. With my job, I love the fact that when you get home you can think, 'Great, I can put on that horrible tracksuit and veg out and watch a pile of c**p TV'.

"I don't have to talk to anyone, or be nice to anyone. My home is like my own little castle. That's happiness. Relationships bring a hell of a lot of heartache and emotional strain. I can be very cruel to people who try to get too close to me. I'm very honest. You always know where you're at with me, I just say to guys, 'Can you just f*** off now?'"

These days her life is filled with the Comic Relief Fame Academy, in which she's starring alongside ex-EastEnder and Extras star Shaun Williamson and Match Of The Day host Ray Stubbs.

Tara was hoping to make it through the first round last night and a second round on Wednesday so she could join 11 other successful contestants who will move in to the Fame Academy house. Then she'd be groomed for stardom by voice coaches and dance experts before the celebrity sing-off reaches its climax on Red Nose Day - March 16.

Tara, a classically-trained pianist, is a 16-1 outsider to win the show. And although she has thrown herself into the challenge, she hasn't ditched all her vices as she battles to control her nerves. She says: "I need a cigarette before I go on stage and a Martini as soon as I come off. I get so nervous, my face goes red, I sweat and my hands shake. I've even had trouble sleeping. I keep waking up panicking I'm going to freeze on stage.

"I am fine at parties. I will happily play the piano. But doing it live in front of an audience of millions is completely different. Luckily, the FameAcademy is just like St Trinian's.

"It looks like an old-fashioned school with wooden floors and long corridors. There are portraits on the walls of former London mayors. I'm going to take gold nail varnish and write my name under one, so I go down in history too!"

I think TPT is a really nice girl & is not at all stupid, & all that ' dizzy ' stuff is definately an act with with her.

Actually I always thought that she would be really good for Rob as a girlfriend as she fully understands him & his problems with being so famous. Its a pity that they dont get together.

She has always & ever been nothing but loyal to Rob over the years... she is a real good Gal in my opinion.

I like her as well and I agree, I think she and Rob would be very good together. She has a good mouth on her, very clever smart girl ... must be why she and Rob get on well.

I really enjoyed reading what she said about rehab, she gave such a sincere interview that at times I almost felt happy that Robbie is where he is and I can imagine Robbie doing what she said.

I like Tara.

But not for him. They are too similar.

ROBBIE CHECKS OUT OF REHAB

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_headl...-name_page.html

SINGER Robbie Williams returned home last night after finishing a 21-day drugs rehab.

Robbie, 33, who was battling an addiction to prescription drugs, will continue to get counselling at his home in Los Angeles, his spokeswoman said.

He had been so desperate to get privacy for his cure that he had kept his location secret.

While it was believed he was in the Meadows centre, where model Kate Moss was treated for her cocaine habit, he is now understood to have been in the Cottonwood de Tucson clinic, also in Arizona.

Cottonwood is in a very secluded location in the desert.

His spokeswoman, Bryony Watts, confirmed: "Robbie Williams has completed treatment in Arizona and continues an after-care programme in LA."

It is understood Robbie was popping a cocktail of prescription anxiety and sleeping pills, including powerful Vicodin and Xanax, before he admitted himself to rehab.

Last night, he was relaxing at his mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

And friends revealed he had kept occupied in rehab by swotting up on trivia, reading quiz books and looking up amazing facts online.

One pal said counsellors at the clinic told Robbie, who enjoys games nights with friends, that keeping his mind active was the best way to combat his problems.

The friend added: "Everyone is now glad Rob is out of rehab and finally able to get on with his life."

Robbie Williams has quit rehab

By THOMAS WHITAKER

and DANIELLE LAWLER

March 07, 2007

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007100725,00.html

TROUBLED ROBBIE WILLIAMS has checked out early from a tough rehab centre.

He ignored medical advice and quit three weeks into a four-week programme to go back to his mum.

It had been reported the singer was staying at the Meadows Centre in Arizona. But The Sun can reveal he was really at the £700-a-night Cottonwood de Tucson — one of the harshest centres in America.

Patients share rooms with two others. They get a 7am wake-up call and breakfast in a basic cafeteria. The 50 or so patients then have group therapy before one-to-one meetings with a therapist.

They must detox for the first five days and are only later allowed supervised day trips.

Last night a spokesman for Robbie confirmed he had left and claimed he had completed his treatment.

However a source at the centre said: “Robbie was meant to be here for four weeks but left after three.â€

He added: “There is absolutely no star treatment here.†Robbie headed straight back to his home in Los Angeles — and into the arms of his mum Jan, a drink and drug counsellor.

He had gone into rehab on February 13 — his 33rd birthday.

The insecure superstar became hooked on anti-depressants, sleeping pills and caffeine as his old mates in Take That eclipsed his solo efforts with their hit reunion tour and album.

Jan, 56, said he felt under intense pressure and going into rehab was “the best present he could give himselfâ€.

He has vowed to continue receiving therapy in LA.
