Exactly mate... I've never found The Smiths or Moz depressing, quite often they are hilarious.. Occasionally Smiths/Moz has dealt with dark subject matter, but that's not necessarily 'depressing', merely throwing a light on things that dont often get talked about... TBH, I kinda think this is the wrong place for this topic, people who really hate Morrissey generally aint gonna come onto this Forum in any case any more than I would go onto the Mariah Carey or PCD forums... There could be similar "why don't you like....?" threads there that I would dearly love to vent my spleen on, but wouldn't know about cos I dont go on them...
