What an exciting month it was....

The release of Neil's first solo album through Hypertension music, and the first 4 live shows to promote his album in Germany. Neil was joined on stage by Gary Nuttall (als guitarist for Robbie Williams).

It turned out to be a golden pair....The extra guitar and backing vocals by Gary made it very great and exciting to look at.........read the full blog at http://www.neiltaylorfanclub.com/

Hi everybody,

No its no april fool just another monthly newletter for you. As usual we look back at what's been going on this past month and look ahead to next month.

Neil has been really busy this past month. He started off with a sold out charity gig in his hometown for raising money for the Macmillan Cancer Trust.

Then he went to Berlin to join Chris Mars on stage for a week at a ITB afterparty event. On the 14th and 15th he had two acoustic solo concerts in Germany, Northerstedt and Hamburg (hard rock cafe). Followed on the 16th by his first ever solo concert in Holland (Austerlitz), which was a big succes. The next day he flew to Austria to do a tour with the Freemen singers for a week. Then to do a show with signing session at a recordstore in Munich. And to fly right back to Holland again (Helmond) for a second show. The weather was probably to nice for many people to turn up, but as some new and die hard fans were there it still was a good show. Afterwards a few of us visited the fair that was going on in that town and conviced Neil to get in a Thrill Ride that went 60 meters above the ground and was spinning with 3G force!! Only afterwards we learned he's actually afraid of hights!Much respect for that because although i'm not even afraid of hights i wouldn't have gone into that! So way the go Neil! I've made a few short video's on my photo camera of the ride and uploaded it to the fangroup on facebook. I will upload them to the fansite later as well, when i find the time. A third Holland show in the Hague is already been booked for may 26th. (check the calendar)

We've got photo's and video's from several gigs on the fansite for you to enjoy. If you were at one of Neil's gigs and have made some photo's or video's you want to share with us, please let me know or send them directly to: neiltaylorfanclub@hotmail.com

After only a few days at home he had to fly all the way to South Africa for another charity festival where he is at this moment. This time its for the anti rhino poaching cause. Because unfortunately rhino poaching is still happening in africa on a large scale. So hopefully they will raise a lot of money and awareness for this great cause. Neil will be doing 3 acoustic 30/45 minute sessions a day at several locations for a week streight.

On the 20th of april the new (acoustic) cd Chasing Butterflies will be officially released by the recordcompany Hypertension music. It will be available on amazon, itunes and all major recordstores. You can already pre-order it on amazon and several online recordshops. The cd contains acoustic versions of some of his songs from his album No Self Control and a few never released songs like the title song Chasing Butterflies, No God and the beautiful balad When The Shadows Fall. You can listen to a preview of the album HERE.

To celebrate this event i already changed the lay-out of the fansite showing the cover of the cd.

By the end of this month, starting 29th of april Neil has been asked to step in for the guitarist of Chris de Burgh on his tour through Canada untill the 13th of may. Neil played with Chris de Burgh many years ago and he did some sessionwork on his Chris' Moonfleet album. Dates and details of the canadatour with Chris de Burgh are on the calendar on the fansite. (i didn't place them on the reverbnationsite or facebook).

Rock on!

Winny xx
