A bit of both, but looking at how well Snow Patrol are still selling on downloads, we could end up with a few songs with substantial sales by the end of the year.

I don't think the sales are that bad?

They've been exceptionally better than the Januarys of 2005 + 2006.

I don't think in those years any song had passed 100k by this stage so to have two already is very good :D

 

 

I don't think a January or February single was in the top 10 of 2006 last year so if the same happens this year, that means Mika will be out of the top 10 and sales will be higher. But it depends on how much more Mika can sell. Surely it will reach 300k? that therefore means its Mika's successful

Not at all I don't think, I think it's just a fluke because the Mika song is huge at the moment. Like Gnarls Barkley was last year.
