Is anyone else really looking forward to this?

Their other albums, Mother Earth & The Silent Force are quite good, but I'm really looking forward to this album after hearing & loving their first single, "What Have You Done"

7. Cross

8. Final Destination

9. All I Need

Howling, What Have You Done & All I Need have already leaked and are awesome tracks, and this morning on the radio they played clips of each song, and they all sound great... especially Frozen.

I love them  I've just downloaded the odd songs occasionally but definately a band I would love to get into more.

I've been a long-term fan of WT's, and have pre-ordered the new album, but what I've heard of the new material slightly troubles me to be honest... They've totally lost the whole "fantasy" element of their music that first attracted me and now they sound very much like a watered-down Lacuna Coil... I'm hoping it's just the single that sounds like this, I think they're gonna lose a lot of their old fans with this new album...

And by the way Ev Mark, you might want to check out The other WT albums "Enter" and "The Dance"

Already got it on Dutch import.

I also have the last 2 albums

The album leaked yesterday.. It's amazing.

I love the introduction to Final Destination <3

Is it me or after hearing the lead single 'What Have You Done?' it really puts me in mind of 'Bring Me To Life' by Evanescence. [awaits to be attacked].

I love it though.

Unfortunately, you have a point and that's the sad fact, where Amy Lee has actually stepped away somewhat from a commercial sound, it seems that WT are embracing it... I really hope for their sakes they do achieve the commercial success they so clearly crave, otherwise selling out their music and p***ing on their original fanbase wont really have any point will it........? -_-

Mind you, "The Silent Force" didn't exactly go mega-platinum did it....?

I just got this album this evening. I'm only on track 3 so far - I'm not liking The Howling but the subsequent 2 tracks are quite good. I'll update when I've listened to it all!

Got it delivered on Monday, listened to it all the way through twice.... And I am more than pleasantly surprised, in fact I'm almost speechless.... I'd only heard a single edit version of "What Have You Done" and was not terribly enamoured, the album version is a lot better.... It's the song "Bring Me To Life" should have been - a proper duet, with equal male/female vocal parts, not just a bit of random "rapping" in the chorus... Keith Caputo is vastly better vocal talent than the bloke from BMTL (I actually wish he'd done more with WT than just the one track tbh..).... "The Howling" is a fantastic way to start an album, but the stand out track for me is the frankly astounding "Our Solemn Hour" - all heavenly choirs, Wagnerian strings, pounding rhythms, brilliant guitar power-riffing, strategic use of Latin phrases, beautiful poetic lyrics and above it all the astounding, soaring harmonies of the simply divine Sharon Den Adel, sounding like one of Wagners Valkyieries. This woman truly has the voice of an Angel and the looks and grace of a Goddess..... Sorry Amy fans, but Sharon is just streets ahead in terms of range and vocal talent..... Other total belters include "Final Destination", "The Heart of Everything" and "The Truth Beneath The Rose", but really, it's pretty much all good, no fillers at all... Commercial..? Sure, but not offensively so, and it sure as hell is an incredibly ambitious album... A few niggly Nu-Metalisms here and there, but really, this is true Gothic Rock.....

A big, fat 9/10 from me because I had low expectations for it, but really this is a step beyond "The Silent Force", a stronger album I feel, and you can hear the guitars a lot better as well.... Not quite up to "Mother Earth" standard, but damn close....

Ah so I listened the whole way through quite a few times now and I LOVE IT. <3 It's just one of those albums that just hits you suddenly. I'm liking What Have You Done and All I Need mainly this evening.

Although hmm I still love Amy more Sharon is growing on me very much!

:cheer: Okay, we've got you into Sharon/WT, so it's gonna be Cristina/Lacuna Coil next, and maybe even Anneke/The Gathering after that......

But dont stop with "The Heart of Everything" - there's about three other WT albums out there, and an EP.....

My Dad has ordered all the Within Temptation albums off the internet (his new obsession I tell you), I'll go and see him soon and probably leave with them all so I can copy them. Thinking of going to see WT in Manchester next month maybe too...

You'll be lucky, I think the whole UK tour's sold out..... I know the London show definitely is... Got my ticket for that ages ago....

Nah you can still get tickets, they're just four time the price though!

The E-Bay rip off artists eh....? <_< I hate these people almost as much as the dirty, pykie b/astards who accost you as soon as you get off the bus or tube with their "ticket, anyone need tickets..?" growls....

Yep, there's also loads on the ticket touting websites at about £90 each! I mean that's ridiculous, more so than ebay who are about £70 the pair...
