Posted February 18, 200718 yr As tension mounts in government over what is seen as an ill-informed but powerful opposition movement to Labour's transport policy, Tony Blair will this week email every person who signed a petition on the Prime Minister's official website objecting to the plans. The number of signatures on a petition against national road tolls topped 1.5 million yesterday. Motorists will have to a buy a £200 black box to monitor road usage, but what other sinister things will it be capable of, recording you speeding, where you go, how often, is this not just another big brother system from your Government who seem to want to control and record us in everything we do on a daily basis.
February 18, 200718 yr Appalling idea, cars are not a luxury they are an ESSENTIAL and we motorists are being ripped off enough as it is with the highest petrol prices in the civilised world, congestion charges, speed cameras and so on and now this abomination   with more and more shopping being "out of town" and the train and bus services in this country of the standard you would expect in Outer Mongolia the idea that cars are not an essential is absurd Thank god we only have a couple more years of these money grabbing "new labour" parasites Expecting the already hard hit motorist to fork out 200 f***ing quid on a black box that will severely invade privacy would make Mugabe or Putin proud Edited February 18, 200718 yr by Kimi Raikkonen
February 18, 200718 yr no way in this world drivers should be expected to fork out for the black boxes  We don't want it so why should we pay for it -_-
February 18, 200718 yr its a stupid idea that'll penalise the poorer people making the roads only for those who can afford it. itll bump up inflation as we all will want more money to pay for it and increase road haulage prices. if he want less congestion then STOP LETTING IN SO MANY BLOODY IMIGRANTS!
February 18, 200718 yr if he want less congestion then STOP LETTING IN SO MANY BLOODY IMIGRANTS! Have you lent El Pres Rocket your password ??? what a bizarre statement I would say very few economic and political asylumists can afford to buy cars, I would guess that people who have emigrated to the UK in the last 5 years make up 0.001% of road users at best The congestion is largely caused by largely white middle class families owning 3 or 4 cars a couple of them gas guzzling Chelsea tractors Edited February 18, 200718 yr by Kimi Raikkonen
