Posted April 12, 200620 yr Gnarls Barkley fends off Ward's advances Source : Music Week Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy looks set to retain its stranglehold atop the singles chart this weekend, despite experiencing a 30% dip at retail. The Warner Bros-released effort, already the year’s highest-selling single to-date, is holding off a strong challenge from Shayne Ward’s No Promises (Syco Music). Retail reports suggest the remainder of the top five, consisting of Mary J Blige, Orson and Kooks, are all showing week-on-week sales increases, while Hard-Fi’s Better Do Better (Necessary/Atlantic) and Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal (Epic) are poised to enter within the Top Ten. Other new entries within the Top 40 come from Fall Out Boy (Mercury - download sales only), Gorillaz (Parlophone), Duels (V2) and Lorraine (Columbia), while climbers include Trina feat. Kelly Rowland (Atlantic), Jamie Foxx feat. Ludacris (J) and Studio B (Loaded). In the albums market, The Streets’ The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living is likely to become the Locked On/679 act’s second number one long-player. Massive Attack’s Collected is destined to keep hold of the number two spot, while Beverley Knight’s Voice - The Best Of (Parlophone) is the only album showing any significant sales in the Top Ten. New entries from Hayley Westenra (Decca), Don Williams (UMTV) and Roberta Flack (Atlantic/Rhino) pepper the Top 75, with Gotan Project’s Lunatico (XL) looking likely to enter just outside the rundown. Outselling all artist albums so far this week, however, is Now That’s What I Call Music! 63 (EMI Virgin/UMTV), which has got off to its expected flying start at retail yesterday. ================================================ Singles 1 (01) Gnarls Barclay - Crazy 2 (NE) Shayne Ward - No Promises {NEW ENTRY} 3 (02) Mary J. April 13, 200620 yr Mikey, Do I take it that you have no news on Madonna's Confessions (20,000 limited edition 3x12 inch vinyl) Remix album or has the £20.99 price tag put the punters off?
April 13, 200620 yr Author Mikey, Do I take it that you have no news on Madonna's Confessions (20,000 limited edition 3x12 inch vinyl) Remix album or has the £20.99 price tag put the punters off? Actually I have totally forgotten about that, and I haven't seen it in the charts, so I'm guessing the price tag is a bit too much
